Any idea when the castle lights will be turned on this year?

Heading to the world the first weekend of november, (4,5) was wondering if the lights were going to be turned on by then?

Nov 8 should see the first of the castle lights.

I saw the Magic Kingdom testing the holiday lights Oct. 5 while I was on vacation. Pretty cool to see Halloween decorations and holiday lights at around 1am. Sorry no pix. I saw the castle lights en route from Downtown Disney to the Contemporary / Polynesian.

Two follow-up questions:

1. Do they have the castle lighting show at 6:15 on the nights MK has MVMCP?

2. If we do not have tickets to MVMCP, can we stay in the park and do things other than ride rides (ie shop, take pictures, eat, etc)?

1. Yes

2. No. They start to clear out areas and funnel all non-ticket holders to the exit. It is not like EMH where you can stay in the park without riding attractions.
