Any end in sight for Move It, Shake It, Celebrate It?

I hope it goes away soon. I hate the music, hate the floats, hate the concept.

But if they bring in a "new" parade that uses that blasted castle mirror float I think I'll scream.

:ROFLOL:I think that thing is a classic MK tradition at this point, unique to WDW. I agree though Im kinda tired of looking at it, yet at the same time it belongs in a weird way.

How does that work? They seem to just schedule the parade inbetween the castle stage shows and afternoon parade. I didn't think it had any kind of crowd control purpose or any rhyme or reason as to when they schedule it other than they seem to always want something going on in the castle hub....

I am not 100% sure of the logistics but you can bet that Disney has a rhyme or reason behind anything they do. Whether it makes sense to us is a different story... That's why we have the website.

You don't like it so they should get rid of it???

Just because YOU don't like something doesn't mean they should get rid of it...
Just go and do what you do like.
This is a fun and lively parade which allows kids to join in, making up for when they used to let kids participate in the 3pm parade.
Who are YOU to condemn an attraction just because YOU don't like it???
Maybe I don't like Space Mountain because it hurts my back, or pirates because they set a bad example for my kids...should they get rid of them, no...I don't have to ride them.
This mentality is like censorship, like when 1 little old bitty tries to get HBO taken off the cable because she doesn't like the T&A.
This show fits fine into the theme of the MK, a happy parade for the happiest place on Earth.
And there is plenty of time to bring out the main street vehicles ( if they wanted to) between these scheduled parades, but they probably put them away due to the crowds and safety issues.

Exactly, if you don't like it,don't watch it. It's pretty easy to avoid the hub at 11:00, 12:30, and 5:40. There's lots to do in the park so it should be pretty easy to avoid it. Lots of people enjoy it and I'm glad that they are still running it and they just didn't get rid of it and have no replacement because of the new campaign. You know just a campaign ends doesn't mean that they have to get rid of a show or parade. The Share A Dream Come True parade, Stars and Motorcars Parade, and Mickey's Jammin Jungle Parade all have outlasted the 100 Years of Magic campaign. Heck Wishes was even made during the Magical Gatherings promotions, and loosely mentions the term, doesn't mean they should now get rid of it.

Big Disney fan, ey? The Happiest Place On Earth is Disneyland.

A dance party circus does NOT fit the theme of the Magic Kingdom, especially not on Main Street.

It also doesnt mean the same tired thing should run for over a decade, such as share a dream come true, its been wittled down constantly, and now almost down to nothing, and its time for a brand new afternoon parade.

I may be a little confused, but didn't Celebrate a Dream Come True Parade constitute a new parade? I know its the same floats, but new concept, score, etc. And that one isn't that old - only 2 years, I think. I think there are more guests that HAVEN'T seen it than have....

Its essentially the same thing that has ran since 2000 if not before, its just had the snowglobes removed, the music tweaked and names changed who knows how many times now. That doesnt really constitute a new parade, its masking. It worked the first or two go arounds but its time already for something much more refreshing with brand new floats.

I don't want it to run for a decade or any parade for that matter but that's become the trend. I'm just saying I think it's ok for it to stay longer than the promotion, not 10 years, but just because What Will You Celebrate is over doesn't mean Mi Si Ci has to be. Menamechris, Celebrate A Dream Come True is only new in the fact it had a new soundtrack, new costumes, and shuffled some characters. However it's barely a new parade. A new parade use to mean new floats, new costumes, new soundtrack, everything! But WDW likes to think of new parades as the same floats, new music, and most recently cutbacks to the existing parade(yes Pixar Pals Countdown to Fun, I'm talking to you).

I agree with what you are saying, BUT - and I really do hate to be devil's advocate to Disney, I really do - but we have to admit - we are weird. We notice things like that - like floats being masked, names changed, etc. The average guest visits once every 5 or so maybe, and they will not not remember a float that "floated" by them for 10 seconds on their trip. It's those of us that watch the parades over and over again (whether we are locals or just make a habit of getting to Disney more often than the average person) who notice things like that. So if I was management, would millions of dollars in new floats be top on my list? Probably not... Again, it would be nice, but SOOO many things need their attention first.

Sadly true, I dont know how many you of know this already but back in the 90s, or maybe since day one not sure, but the rule was to do a new afternoon parade every 3 years. Thats what I was told anyway. I dont remember quite that many though so not sure if that guy in managment was a bit off or what, but the 90s had some good parades. Shame its becoming every ten to fifteen years now. And yes there are other needs that are vastly in need of attention, its just the parades are becoming budget slashed and it shows (Pixar Pals being the worst ) and the new tourist or those that dont visit often could care less, so Disney gets away with it.

Any end to Move It, Shake It

Walt wanted one thing: A place the whole family could enjoy. I am NOT a ride person; never been on Splash or TOT or RRC. But I sure enjoy entertainment. -- live entertainment. My family and I LOVE all the live musicians, the entertainers, the shows, the characters, and yes, the parades. No one can match Disney's entertainment. I love a parade, a performance up or down Main Street or Hollywood Blvd. or thru the streets of Natazu. Sure, some things are old, or recycled, or just plain silly. But it's all fun. People continue to line the streets for all these things. And they are smiling; and clapping; and videotaping to keep the memory alive. And they keep coming back for more. So many things get on the nerves of you posters. Relax. Find something else to do. Walt more than accomplished what he set out to do.

I don't think you've been there for one of these MISI thingies. There aren't nearly as many people lined up for it as the Share A Dream Come True Parade.
