any chance of Christmas week availability?

Our family of 5 is going to brave the hordes and go to WDW the week between Christmas and New Year's. I made dining reservations a month or so ago, but I'm having second thoughts about a couple of them.

I keep forgetting to call WDW dining - can anyone tell me if there are still restaurant times available for that week? I do not need Christmas eve/day or New Year's Eve/day (though I might try to get a breakfast on the morning of NYE).

I don't know. We are a bigger group and I made our dining reservations awhile back. We were actually able to get the "eves" and "days" but had two days in between where we had to take restaurants outside of the parks. we are on the dining plan so we needed to get those sit down reservations. We are going for the first time to Ohana's and 1900 Park Fare...hopefully we will enjoy these restaurants. Good luck with your reservations.

You can always try calling, as people do sometimes cancel. There's never any harm in trying! Good luck!

Worse comes to worse, at least you have your original ADRs!

We just called a couple days ago and got reservations each day, so just call and check it out.

Look at Resorts. Cape May, Kona, Jiko. Sometimes they are much less busy. We went to Jiko one night last trip and it was DEAD, while Boma was the usual packed.

we have family who just made reservations ( the day after Thanksgiving) for Dec 25 & Dec 26 --Hollywood & Vine and Crystal Palace, so reservations can still be had.

Give it a shot, keep you original ADRs, try resort resturants & ask for odd times (6:20 instead of 6 or 6:30).

I just made resort reservations (talk about last minute!) for Christmas last Friday. I made dining reservations a day later, and was reasonably surprised at what I could still get. I didn't get everything I wanted, but I think I came out okay. We'll be eating a little later than normal, but I think it's worth it. Hopefully I made some good picks!

Thanks! I did actually call a few days ago and was able to get us ADRs at Whispering Canyon Cafe. Some of the more popular character meals were sold out but most of the resort restaurants still had availability.
