Any breakfast recommendations?

Hi, I'm just wondering where people would recommend going for breakfast dining? It's my first trip to WDW in August and I'd like to try it at least once!
I don't really want to go to any character dining, and I'm staying at Port Orleans Riverside :)

Thanks!

So are you eating breakfast just once?

Our vote is for Grand Floridian Cafe. We have had breakfast there a few times and always found it on the quieter side which is nice before heading into busy parks. Pretty surroundings and we found the food delicious. Pretty traditional fare but presented beautifully and we always loved it.

Tusker House in DAK is a character dining experience, but you don't have to be into the characters to enjoy this excellent buffet. And you can book an hour before the regular park open, thus having a good breakfast and then being ahead of the crowds at rope drop!

Boma, but only if you're renting a car. It's too much of a pain to get to and from Animal Kingdom Lodge early in the morning if you're relying on Disney transportation.

I was going to point this out too. Getting from resort to resort at WDW is not the most convenient or efficient. If you don't have a car, you can take taxi/uber though.

So if you don't want to deal with that, stick with in-park places. Those are pretty much going to all have characters.

If you don't mind the hassle of getting from resort to resort, my choices, in no particular order, are Whispering Canyons, Kona Cafe and the Grand Floridian Cafe. All have their own unique atmosphere and food. The skillet at Whispering Canyons is a breakfast food junkies delight, love the seasonal pancakes at GF and what can I say about Kona...

One more vote for Kona Cafe or The Grand Floridian Cafe.
Delicious coffee. Tonga Toast, Macadamia Pineapple Pancakes,..or Lobster Benedict. Yum.
In fairness to the thread, I've never had a meal at Boma though.
For transportation- Uber. It's the easiest way.
