Any 40th Anniversary Rumors?

Nice post. My guess would be if attendance is down WDW might have a special offer the summer/early fall with 40th Anniversary in the promotion.

The conspiracy theorists would suggest the Coca Cola formula change was actually one of the most successful changes in company history. The demand went through the roof after reintroducing Classic Coke to the market. They were also able to replace sugar with corn syrup without many noticing.

Coke had been using corn syrup for years before the "New Coke" fiasco.

The only thing that puzzles me is that they used to have such large celebrations for odd years like DL 35th anniversary, but I guess that was a different time and a different economic state. I'm guessing that with the economy being the way it is they would want park attendance to be high for the 50th anniversary.

You are right - But leadership was completely different then. Disney was always looking for a reason to celebrate. Now they just tell us to do it ourselves...

Well I am going for the 40th. Sept 30-Oct 4 but for personal reasons. My father was actually one of the first ones inside Disney World when they opened but he was a teenager with long hair and they didnt want him to be the representative of the "FIRST FAMILY" into Disney world, but he did however get alot of cool things that he still has today. So anyways Im going with him my mother and my husband for the personal memories and as to why I am such a Disney finatic today!

- Royal princess Rooms at PO Resort
and
- The Art of Animation Resort

There is of course the all new FL expansion.

For some reason, I have a feeling we will not get much of anything. It will be celebrated but will not be like the 25th. While 40 is great.. im sure they are looking forward to the 50th.

Agreed. 5, 10, 25, 50, and 100 are the biggies.
