Imagine a Super Hero the size of an insect – the ultimate secret weapon. That’s Ant-Man, and heroes don’t get any bigger.

Soon, you’ll be able to get a glimpse of the next evolution of Super Hero when the Bug’s Life Theater at Disney California Adventure park hosts a sneak peek of the high-stakes, tension-filled adventure “Ant-Man,” starring Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly, Corey Stoll, Michael Peña and Michael Douglas as Dr. Hank Pym.

For a limited time starting June 19, this special preview will give you an advance look at scenes from the film, presented in 3D with in-theater effects that can only be experienced at Disney Parks. And don’t miss the opportunity to check out the Ant-Man suit from the film, also on display at Bug’s Life Theater.

“Ant-Man” brings a founding member of The Avengers to the big screen for the first time. Armed with the astonishing ability to shrink in scale but increase in strength, master thief Scott Lang must embrace his inner hero and help his mentor, Dr. Hank Pym, protect the secret behind his spectacular Ant-Man suit from a new generation of towering threats. Against seemingly insurmountable obstacles, Pym and Lang must plan and pull off a heist that will save the world.

The “Ant-Man” sneak peek begins June 19 at Disney California Adventure park, and you can catch the complete film when it opens in theaters on July 17, 2015.

And I can bet you've never read the comics and know nothing about the character and story.

True, it was just snark. The name "Ant Man" kind of lends itself to it. But of course what really matters is how an idea is executed. If you say it's a good character and comic, I'm sure it is.

Of all the Marvel heroes, Ant Man has got to be the dumbest. A superhero you could defeat by stepping on him. Lame!
Ant Man also has the capability to turn into Giant Man. He can also change the size of any object. He also increases in strength when he's small so even if someone tried to step on him he could just throw them aside.

It's a pretty cool character and I can't wait to see it.

The Marvel agreement seems to be more and more limiting for the WDW parks. Disneyland gets a Marvel preview in A Bug's Land, and Walt Disney World with "the blessing of size" gets... nothing.

As the years click along and Marvel becomes more integrated into the Disney experience, it doesn't bode well for the WDW parks.

Ant-Man is part of the Avengers, so he's barred from WDW. So far the only property they can use there is Guardians of the Galaxy, and I can't imagine they'll do anything with it. They don't care.

Frankly, they're dragging their feet with it elsewhere and it doesn't make sense. You've got the highest grossing film franchise of all time and...meet n greets? DLR didn't even have Cap and Thor out when Avengers 2 hit theaters.

There are so many amazing theme park possibilities for Marvel and I'm 90% sure we'll never see any of them.

It was all part of the original Marvel agreement though. It hasn't gotten more limiting, it's always been this way.

Perhaps if they build a Marvel mini land in DCA as rumored and it's successful, it will prompt disney to spend the cash to get the rights for WDW. But even if it's successful in DCA, it feels very blue sky.

The preview should fit rather well with the theater. They're are a couple of scenes in the trailer wheres he's in what looks to be ant tunnels.

Plus it doesn't disrupt the theme of the park too much since the movie takes place in San Francisco and Pacific Wharf is right next to A Bug's Land. In an odd way, it's almost making A Bug's Land a bit more CA specific than it currently is.

A bit off topic, funny how Disney now has 4 properties on the way that are set in CA (including this one).
