I really liked Alice in Chains...a unique sound in a genre where everyone sounds the same.....particularly their "unplugged" album...

I heard about this early at work this morn, and instantly thought of Now....weird how i knew he'd have started a thread.....

This is terrible. I hadn't even heard about this. Alice in Chains is one of my all time favorite bands. Layne had such an incredible voice, and their music was incredible too. This is really very sad. Why can't these musicians get clean. It's obvious he had this problem for years and years. It's just such a waste.

The guy was in rehab for something like 8 years (not 8 times...8 YEARS)...its no suprise to me that he OD'd...its just sad

man.. this bites. I love Alice in Chains. I hope this doesn't become another Nirvana though.. with 10 million parties fighting to release the rest of the bands material. Let Layne rest.
