Only driven to WDW once from here in Canada, but that was the route we took, and will be taking in November when we drive again: I-75 all the way down, onto the Florida turnpike, onto 429 and then Western Way. Well, maybe throw in a stop at Winter Garden Village shopping center for some snacks for the resort room.
I'm 1.5 hrs north on 75. After 1 time taking the turnpike to I4 my wife said we should get a sunpass and go the "backway" Smartest thing we did.

Western Way is definitely a nice way in. Much less congestion and overall a smooth ride. When I stay on Palm Pkwy - WW isn't really an option for me. I almost always find myself crossing over 535 and hitting Vista and coming in via Golden Oaks and POR (or EBV if I'm headed to DS)

I have been going to Disney World since the 80s and have no idea what "WGV," "E Buena Vista," or "Vista" refer to, or even what this question is asking.

Winter Garden Vineland. It's what Palm Pkwy turns into once you cross over 535.

You can back door entering the property near Port Orleans and avoid the congestion at the Hotel Plaza entrance.

I’ve only driven on I4 once as we were leaving Orlando on our way to Savannah, and it wasn’t bad, but I’ve heard enough about it to steer clear of it-and I bet 429 is never too busy, it wasn’t when we drove it.

We always go through the main gate off of I-4. Orlando traffic makes me nervous as can be though, maybe I should mention to Hubby going the other way?
