Another PI Question

We haven't been to PI since 99. Just wondering if it is still pretty lively every night. I remember going back in the day and it being wall to wall people with little bar stands up and down the street. It was a great party atmosphere. We are taking a few friends who have never been to WDW before and want to show them a good time. Don't really want to go to PI when it is less than busy.....Any insights would be appreciated. Oh we are going Sept 14-21

if you go, go on a thursday. it's summer, so it's gonna be kinda busy on most nights, but thursday is the "fun" night to head out there.

unless, you're looking for more of a relaxed atmosphere, upon which a sunday or a tue/wed would be better.

Whenever I have been it has always been great, never had an "off" night.
