What would you expect the park crowds to be like at Universal during the middle of the first week in Sept(the week that contains Labor Day)?

I intend to tour both parks.

IOA will be busier due to HP being fully opened by then. US shouldn't be too bad other than Rip Ride Rocket. If your going mid week it shouldn't be all that bad. I would be at the gate ready to run to HP at park open though.

September is one of the slowest months at universal and ioa. Harry potter world will be a little busy.

I think this is probably right. I've never been in September, but we went for half a day to Universal, only did original US no IOA, either Christmas Eve or the 23rd about a year and a half ago and most of the stuff in US was pretty much walk on first thing in the morning, including the Mummy. Since Rip Ride Rocket is new, I have no idea how the crowds for it will be.
