Another Fantasmic question...

Hi all-

Going to Disney next week! :sohappy: We want to try to catch a showing of Fantasmic! So my question is this - I've read that in the past on evenings where there were 2 showings, one could get into the late show without showing up super early, as is recommended for the earlier show. Do we think this is still the case with the reduced showings? I'm hoping to try to pop in either Wednesday, May 20 or Thursday, May 21 for the 10:30 showing...any recommendations on how early to get there for these later shows? The first shows are at 9PM. I will be there next week as well. They seem to only extend hours or add another showing of Fantasmic IF and only IF there is a HIGH CROWD LEVEL. Those decisions are not made until the day of. I will be there on the 21st as well - if there is only one showing - I will be there at 7pm standing in line.

One the park hours page it has 2 showings of F! listed for Wednesday and Thursday (9 & 10:30)...so I'm not sure how the crowds will be for the later shows. I guess it's hard to predict something like that. :shrug:

For our trip 2 weeks ago we had booked the Fantasmic package at the 90 day mark not knowing there were 2 shows scheduled that night. We still kept our dinner res., but with the way the night worked outwe ended up just going to the later show. That night the 1st show was at 8:30 and the 2nd show was at 10. We hopped into line maybe around 9:30 behind lots of other people that were in line ahead of us, but we still got perfectly fine seats and there were still sections of seats open during the show.

OMG. I had no idea- I hadnt confirmed the hours yet for my trip. Thanks for the heads up. The first showing is usually very crowded and the the 2nd showing is lighter (though still crowded). I have always seen the 2nd showing and usually get there about 30 to 40 minutes early. As long as there are 2 shows you are fine but on nights when it is one show - it is highly suggested to get there 90 minutes before show. I have never heard that the 2nd show has been closed off due to capacity.

I can now see the Finale of American Idol at 7pm, be out of there by 830pm and get ready for Fantasmic at 10
