Annual Passholders

It varies--sometimes we go every other week or so; sometimes we go a couple of months between visits. It's very nice to have the annual passes for something like the Food and Wine Festival, so that we can go for a few hours just to sample food and not even visit any attractions. We did the same thing when Via Napoli opened--just went out for a couple of hours to eat at the restaurant and walk around World Showcase. And if I have a day off, I may go out to the Magic Kingdom for a couple of hours early and then leave when it starts to get busy.

I live two hours away, have had my AP for two years and usually go down for the day once or twice a month, depending on how busy I am with work. What usually happens to me is I will see/hear/experience something in normal life that will trigger a WDW memory and then I get really excited to go back down. It never gets boring to me and there are still things that give me goosebumps and make me tear up everytime!

We have been passholders for about 7 years. We live in Ft. Lauderdale and average a trip about once a month. My son is autistic and it never gets old for us because life is so different for him and us when we are there. Some trips are 2-3 days and some trips are 5-10 days depending on the school breaks. We go to Universal once a year because other friends drag us there...(personally, I HATE Universal). We also go to Sea World several times a year.We always encounter something new or different. No two trips are alike. We also stay off property so every hotel is a new adventure in itself...lol. We actually bought a home in Orlando a few years back in hopes that we can actually move there soon. Most of my friends and family think we are crazy to spend so much time up there, but they don't live my life either. It's all good...like I always say, any day at the parks is still better than any day at home. Enjoy!

I live 2 hours away, and we have been 10 times this year. I can go more but hubby says that it is getting a little old. We will not be getting annual pass for 2011, I will stop working Feb 4,2011, so we will not have the money to go. But 2012 we want to get them again, I hope.

I have about a 30min drive to the parks and usually go on average of about twice a month. I have been an AP holder for almost 7 years, but I think we are going to skip a year after our passes come due in March. Probably take our first trip to DL instead, and spend a little more time at US next year.

I live 20 minutes away and until the hours were shortened (Daylight Savings Time) I was there once a week. I find I go a lot now that my little princess is two years old. She loves to ride everything and each time, we try to go on something new.

Now that the weekday hours are a bit shorter, we're not going as much because by the time we get there, it's time to come back home.

It is nice going and seeing that it's more crowded than you hoped it would be and leaving without feeling like you are getting ripped off. It's more of a, "We'll come back next week" feeling.

My wife thinks I'm crazy, but if she's working late and it's just me and the kid, we're heading down 429 to MK!

I have had an AP for the past 2 years and in that time, I averaging three trips (week long) a year from Illinois. I worry about killing the magic but Disney never gets old.

The thing I have noticed is that the "rush" of trying to do everything in a short amount of time before you have to leave is gone. Coming home and sleeping in my bed every night has taken a little fun from it since I only live an hour away. However, I wish EVERYONE could experience this place without having to rush around. It is so cool to just walk around, eat something, talk to cast members, etc. It has been a great stress reliever as I just go myself...its very peaceful to do. I'm not getting caught up in buying merchandise all the time like I used to (both good and bad). You get to take in all the little details. I am just afraid I'm going to get burnt out.....I guess a GREAT problem to have!!!!:sohappy:. Plus, can't beat that free parking!!!

I've been an AP holder since March and I'm lucky enough to work in the Orlando area for several days every month. When I first got the AP, my goal was always to ride as many rides as possible until that park closed and then hopped to another one to take advantage of EMH's.

But I completely agree with your statement here . . . the past two times I visited WDW, I really slowed things down and just walked around that's it.. I was there the week of Thanksgiving and on a Monday night I went to Hollywood Studios for EMH's and just walked around, that's it. I had a snack, looked in awe of the Osborne family lights, and didn't ride a single ride. It felt great. You're right it's a great stress reliever too.

The only thing that has been getting to me recently is just being lonely walking around by myself. When I went as a kid I obviously went with my family, and then when I was in college I went a couple of times with my ex-gf. I guess I was always used to being with someone else that I could at least talk to. So I guess I get a little sad sometimes as I'm single, by myself, and I'm surrounded by families and couples having a blast. Sometimes I want to say "please adopt me" :(

We live near St. Louis, MO, and we've been Annual Passholders for 3 years. I also work for an airline, so we fly for free, hence the Annual Pass. We make one week long "regular" vacation trip each year, and we also head down during special times of year for certain events like Halloween, Christmas, certain races, etc. I've even used my flying privileges to fly down in the morning, golf and eat lunch in a park, then fly home that night!
