Annual Passholder - Resort Booking

Hey guys. I was wondering if you could help me out, I've looked all over this site and wasn't able to find this particular subject, so sorry if this has already been posted. OK I'm an AP holder and I've never booked a resort stay at WDW. I've been looking on Disney's site, disneyworld.com/passholder, for rates at the resorts during marathon weekend this January 2012. Before viewing the rates I've tried several times to put my AP on my profile as I'm assuming that it will give me the AP discount, but every time it says "An Error Occurred". When I continue to look at nightly rates, it doesn't appear that I'm getting an AP holder discount at all. Has anyone had a problem with this before? Am I doing this the right way or is there something else that I should try? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

The passholder section of the website is more temperamental than the rest of the website. For years I couldn't even get in, and now it seems to think I have a Florida resident pass.

Just call up when you need to book a room.

You are probably not getting past adding the card, or you are not using Internet Explorer. Call tech support and ask which numbers and letter combinations to type in. I usually have to call each time I get a new card. I am hoping Disney will fix all this some day. They are really behind on IT.

Also, there are no passholder offers in Jan yet unless I'm missing the link. They should come out in about a month. We're waiting for them as well; we're season passholders. Book now and change it later by calling. Make your dining reservations now.

Many travel agents, especially Disney Earmarked Agents, will automatically check for discounts after you book with them. Book the room you want now, then when the discounts come out, you can have it changed. Just make sure you find one that doesn't charge a fee.

It sounds like you're using the regular booking page. You have to go to the "Passholder Offers" page under the Passholder home and select the special offer for your time range, and then book through that special offer page. I don't think January rates are out, though.

Thank you all for your help . . . I had no idea about a lot of things that you mentioned.

I'm definitely not using Internet Explorer, I usually always use Google Chrome, but will definitely give that a shot. I'm not an IT guru by any means but I definitely agree with you that they're behind on IT.

I'll take your advice and book soon, there are a lot of people that come down for the marathon and want to grab something now while I have the chance. Probably won't book any dining reservations because I'm not sure how my body will feel after running the race(s).

Never knew this, thanks for your advice. I'll definitely check that out.
