Annual Passes - Would it be worth it for me?

I was looking at some very generic annual pass information and am wondering what people here think. My husband and I are thinking about getting annual passes but want to know if they are worth it.

We live in a sub-burb of Atlanta so the drive is doable for a long weekend. No kids so we could go any time. The pass prices seem OK but what else is generally offered as a passholder? I know it includes parking, but can you park hop or are you stuck to one park per day. Then do you get any discounts on things like dining or mini-golf?

Are the passes good for 12 months from the date that you purchase them or do you have to buy them during a certain part of the year?

Does anyone know of a site where there is more detailed information?

Any info you may have would be greatly appreciated! :)

Given that the OP was asking about multiple trips on the AP, you didn't answer the question at all.

My original post stated "To break even on an AP you're generally looking at visiting WDW a minimum of 12-14 days per annum."

Based on your maths on your above post "One 10-Day hopper is $305.66". Therefore to maximise value for money on the purchase of an AP you must attend a WDW Park a minimum of 11 times (10 days + 1 single day) in a year to make it work for you.

Which bit of the above can't you grasp

Minimum: The least number...

The least number of days you can visit and do better with an AP is 6 [two three-day visits], not 12-14. The maximum you could have to stay and still benefit from an AP is 11 days per annum. The math I presented shows the ticket combinations at which an AP is cheaper.

Not sure whether either English or Math is your area of difficulty.

We've always had an annual pass. We go in either January or February each year and for 8 days each time and although technically we go once a year, we plan it so that the following year is inside of the one year frame and so we are getting a second use from the passes. We like it for several reasons. The day we arrive it is usually about 1:00 and we like to unload the car and zip right on over to Epcot. It saves us on parking as we always stay offsite and the discounts in some restaurants and stores.

Another great thing about an AP. You don't feel guilty burning a day on your pass on your arrival and departure days.
