We are going in March, when do the Annual Pass room and package discounts usually come out?

Do I have to have the AP when I book or can I get it while there?

Thanks..:D

There really aren't package discounts for AP since you already have the tickets. If you get a room discount, you normally can't add any other specials to it like free dining. Discounts are offered based on how the resorts are selling. Given that most of March is in peak and holiday season, discounts may be slim to none.

To book an AP discount online, you need the number on your AP.

That said, if a discount is offered, they usually pop up a month or two before the available dates.

Hey Dana! Reservations told me that AP discounts are out through the end of 2010 and 2011 should be coming out sometime in the next few weeks. I asked several of the cast members I talked to what I should do as far as discounts. My options were AAA, general public pin code, or AP. All of them said go for the AP as it will be the best of any discount offered. Meaning that it will at least exceed 15% because AAA is at least 15% off the room. Also, with the package, yes, you can do a package with an AP. You just need to have your package booked before AP discounts are released and transfer it over to the AP rate package. I got two answers on the having your AP at time of booking. One agent said yes and one said as long as I had it by check-in. I don't know. I'm going to get mine before the rates come out just in case.

I've booked an AP room rate online and never had to enter the number on my AP- I just had to be logged in to the passholder section of the website.

I've also never been asked to show my AP at check-in.
