Does anyone know at what point you can find out the discounted rates for a Disney Resort for next year with an Annual Pass?

I booked a room for myself at the All Star Movies for 7 nights in February at a rate of $609 for the week. Though this isn't a bad price, it seems that with the Annual Pass I"m going to upgrade to, it should be even less than that.

If I call Disney now, would they have the discounted price?

There is not a shot of the rates being released until at least November/December, maybe even into January. They dont give us a lot of notice on these things. The way I find out is I leave my travel plans with Pam ( Kingdom Konsultant) on these boards and she will book my trip for me when the discounts come out. I dont have the time to hang on hold for an hour with Disney when I have to go to work so I let Pam do it for me!!! So far it has worked out wonderfully. You can also get the information from Mousesavers.com. Mary is pretty good about listing all of the discounts she knows about, but Disney doesnt release the information generally until very shortly before the discount itself becomes available. Belle

Make your reservations in advance. Keep looking on the disney website or mousesavers.com for any discount codes.

When a discount code comes out for the time you are going, call Disney and tell them that you want to add the discount code to your reservation, and they will be able to do it for you.

I made reservation for Disney hotel and I paid the whole thing, then a code came out. I put the code on the reservation, and the code made me have a credit on the room. I had about $100 dollar credit on my room. So, we had a nice lunch and put it on the room. When the bill came, I had a balance of $0.

I suggest not paying off the room immediately, as that way you can apply the code without worrying about money coming back to you!!!! Also call as soon as the codes come out. I am pretty convinced that each hotel only gets so many rooms at certain discounts!!!! Belle

Belle - That actually seems like it'll work out perfect for me.

I booked the room through a travel agent I've been using. I need to send her $100 deposit next week for the room, which will leave about a $500 balance. I told her I would send her $100 every month August - December which she's going to have applied to the room. I'll start checking around October for the February rates. Figure, that should be about time, and the rates codes should be out by then. Who knows - I may only have to make the November payment, and I could be done.

Mousesavers.com has a great historical trend chart on their site.

http://www.mousesavers.com/faq.html#codetrends

Shows what the discounts where and when they became available all the way back to 2001.

Like Belle said, for the first half of Feb, the AP discounts were announced somewhere between the very end of October and the begining of December. For the last half of Feb, the discounts have all been announced in January.

Make sure she does apply to codes for you!!! Not all travel agents are particularly happy about booking the rooms with the codes. Some of my coworkers had a problem with that. The agent didnt want to book them for the package that Disney was running at the time and it was on Disney's website! I told them that if he didnt book it at that rate, come back to me and Id do it for them!!!!!! Of course that was all before I met Pam, Our own Kingdom Konsultant!!! Belle

Oh, she will. I talked to her for a good 30 minutes about the Annual Pass Discount on the room. I wanted to wait to book until the discounted rates came out and she assured me there would be no problem in getting the discounted rate once they came out.

I'm fine with getting a credit on the room. I'll be by myself - That could buy me about 3 or 4 meals at Planet Hollywood!
