Annual pass holder exchange certificate

  1. Sorry if this has already been asked but to many threads to look thru so here it goes

I just recently became a DVC member and took advantage of the premier annual pass discount offer we are going to be staying at BLT in Oct 10-17. We received a green looking credit card that says Exchange Certificate on it so I am assuming that I have to take that with me on our trip to get our actual annual pass and discount card also since we are staying at BLT we can customize that magic band but how and when do we get the annual pass holder magic bands I have called several ( 15 ) times to Disney and seem to get a different answer every time seems very frustrating and still don't have any hard tickets or magic bands the ones we get while staying at BLT are customized but those will not ship out till approx 3 weeks before trip how can they link those bands with the annual pass as I don't have any ticket number to apply bands to any help would be greatly appreciated. Was told by several cm's that once we get actual annual passes that will generate another set of magic bands which would be delivered to us at our home while we are at Disney World just seems like a awful waste of time and postage any ideas or comments feel free to respond thanks again for all the help

Starting to make a little more sense now so when they have it all figured out I am assuming they will ship all things together like the parking pass, magic bands, and discount cards ? Still don't understand how a 64 billion dollar company can make a seemingly reasonable project messed up this bad.....please keep me informed as to when the rest of you get your complete order thanks in advance.....

We are also new to DVC this year, the next trip in June is not on DVC the DVCs trips start in Jan 2015 :)

But we are going to convert the tickets from this trip into APs while we are there in June. I am waiting till the last day as I do not want to screw up my FP+s I have set up. I am sure I am just being over cautious but I do not see any reason to convert them any earlier than the last day :)

If you purchase your annual passes before April 30 you can take advantage of a big discount on the dvc website then you will have you annual passes they will be good for a year after they are activated at the park so in theory you have a year to activate it then another year to use it but it is definitely worth getting now as you will save about $200.00 per annual pass if done before April 30 if you have any questions regarding it call Disney and they will gladly help you hope this helps

Did not know that, hmmm going to have to work this out. If I buy them now I am not sure I can apply the money I have already paid for the June tickets, that was the originally plan. Gonna have to work this out...

Thanks for the info :)

Will do, I was just looking at the DVC site, I am not seeing the April 30 deadline for the AP pass price, where is that at? Just curious. Trying to learn :)

If you read earlier post on this thread there was a phone number given I called that one with some questions and they where very helpful and answered all of my concerns if you do decide to do this you will receive a free exchange certificate in the mail approx 3 days after you make your purchase then you need to take that green certificate with you on your trip and they will exchange them for your actual annual passes and discount cards the funny thing is with the dvc member discount is that the premium annual pass ( which is the highest level ) is actually cheaper then the regular annual pass. If you go to the dvc member website and login it will show you how to get your discounted annual pass but again it must be done before April 30

Ok good stuff, I will do so. I think we are going with the standard AP, but maybe the upgrade :)

OK so just got off the phone with DVC, long wait but those folks are just great to talk to!

I went ahead and left the tickets I have for my June package alone.

Today I bought four of the PAPs for $484 each. We are already planning a trip in Jan 2015 using DVC points so we will activate them then, they have to be activated before Jan 31st 2015. Then we will go again in Jan 2016. That way we get two full week long trips out of the PAPs we bought today.

It's a great deal of course, 7 day Park Hoppers for four cost me over $1600 for this upcoming June 2015 trip. The PAPs cost $2060 with tax but they will serve for two full trips :) We are now set for the next 3 trips to WDW as far as tickets go.

Going in Jan I can not see us using the PAPs for the water parks but our home resort is SSR so the Disney Quest admission will be nice :)

By 2017 my oldest will be out of high school and we can start going in Sept/Oct again when we prefer to go anyways :)
