Simple question....Can anyone tell me the pricing this year/discounts for DVC? going for 2 weeks this summer and want to see if i'm better off getting the annual pass or buying "regular" tickets for the 2 weeks. Also does the annual pass include water parks in the price? Thanks!

A regular AP includes unlimited admission to the 4 major parks, plus park hopping. The DVC price (tax included) is $424.94 for adults and $383.40 for kids 3-9.
If you want water parks and Disney Quest admission, you'll need a Premium AP. The DVC price for those is $536.76 for adults and $483.51 for kids.

If you're going to for two weeks, its a no brainner, AP, and you can get discounts with the AP on merchandise and food

We base our stays at WDW based on our Annual Pass use year. We are heading to WDW in about a week, will be staying for 8 days. We will purchase our annual pass. Then we are going again in October, so we will going again in March of 2012 before the annual passes are due to expire. This allows us to get three visits in during our Annual Pass use year. It works out well for us.

For 2 weeks, then do it. Also get a Tables in Wonderland card for one adult. The cost is $75.00 and will get you 20% off food and alchoholic beverages at most WDW table service restaurants. You can pick up both AT the guest relations window outside the turnstiles and any of the 4 major parks.

one other quick question. our plan lands at 930 pm. MK is opened until 1am that day. we are hoping if we can get through check in quickly we can high tail it over before the park closes. How would the annual pass work in this case? do we have to go to guest relations in the MK to activate it?

I would just buy them when you get to MK anyway. Why give them money any sooner than you have too?
Yes, after you go through security go to the far right to guest relations. You can activate them or just purchase them. Make sure you have valid drivers license's for the adults. That late at night there really shouldn't be any lines, so it should be quick.

I should have said this before, but unless you have a rental car it will take every bit of 2 hours to get to the resort and check in. Then you have to get to MK. I would not expect to get to MK until 12:00 Midnight or later. You may want to get to be as soon as you get there and get an early start the next day.

Quick follow-up question to this statement. When we were there in March we were easily able to get the 20% merchandise Annual Pass discount, but how does the annual pass dining discount work? What restaurants (or types) apply an annual pass discount? How much of a discount? Thank you!

I believe the annual pass discount is available in more places than the DVC discount. However, if you go often enough where you are going to spend more than $375 on table service and the available counter serve (and have an AP) then you are best off getting the TIW card.

I could be wrong, but, if you are talking about being a DVC member and getting the annual passes through them, they have to be purchased through their website and then you take the voucher to guest relations at any park and exchange for an annual pass.

You are able to purchase the DVC discount annual pass at the Ticket windows. We did this on our last trip...all I had to do was show my membership card and ID.
