Annual Pass annoyance.

I bought my first ever AP in Feb in anticipation of several trips starting with our 7 day trip the last week of June. Just this morning I realized one problem: My AP won't become active until I arrive which means no FP's. I am going to have to take a quick weekend trip the end of this month from NC just to activate my AP so I will be able to join the rest of the family in their AP selections :eek:

I've never had an AP for WDW, but there should be some sort of number to enter so you can make FP selections. Maybe someone else knows more about it, but I've read that on the boards before.

You should be able to use the confirmation number provided to link your AP to your MDE profile which should enable advance FP+ selections.

The above posts are correct. There should be a way to link the AP to your profile now to make FP+.

The only thing that you will have to wait on is the free MagicBand you get with the AP won't show up to customize until after you activate.

I bought my first AP this year and was able to book FP+ 60 days in advance since I was staying on property this coming May 1st (yay 25 days!). The numbers associated with my account were updated automatically and showed up in my tickets.

Yes you can still make Fast passes before your pass is active. We were able to make FP's before we activated our new pass last year just like normal. As long as it's in MDE you can make your FP's at 60 days out of staying onsite and 30 if not staying onsite
Just like any other tickets you buy. :)
