My understanding is that because there are increases projected in the number and severity of major weather disasters, insurance companies are raising rates in general for properties that could be damaged by hurricanes/flood/etc. Maybe that contributed to the raise in dues for Vero and HH?
This is related to annual dues. The figures for the property taxes are now out and members will receive a credit for the excess paid with the annual dues demands in December. Don’t get too excited though, we’re not talking a huge amount, it ranges from about 7 cents per point to 43 cents at CCV, most are around 10-15 cents.
