I'm off to the big old DW in October first time I've been back since 1994.

We booked it all back in April this year travelling from UK to POR for 16days :)

I've read and read and watched and watched every little piece of DW I can find all because of how excited I am about our trip.
Even checking this site every day :)

I've even got a countdown app to count down the days 55 and counting.

The reason I've wanted to write this is to vent how I feel like I'm annoying my friends and work colleague's by how much I talk about my holiday :p

Is anyone else in the same situation that they are so excited that you have become annoying to other people ?
You can never be too excited about going to WDW!

In public I am mostly silent about my WDW obsession though. Not because people find it annoying. I've moved way past that already. By now they threaten me with this court order that will have me removed in a straightjacket if I ever mention Disney again...

That's the thing that's amazing about disney it makes you excited like a kid or like it's xmas doesn't matter how old you are

that's a long countdown when you put it in days but it gives you something to look forward to each day :)

Indeed as does reading trip reports from people in the UK who have visited POR (thats where we are staying next time) hint hint
lol don't worry I will be doing a full report of our stay at POR magicbands as well :p

I don't have enough time to talk about Disney to the extent that I would annoy coworkers because I'm actually doing what my employer pays me to do.....which is work.
What do you do that keeps you from talking at all about your personal lives. No matter what job I've had, I've always been able to make friends where I work. My husbands is friends with his boss and coworkers on FB and they talk and hang outside of work. You spend 40+ hours a week with these people...more time with them than your family...maybe you should try making friends with em ;)

I can't even mention Disney, WDW, Disneyland, vacation, or anything remotely related in my own HOUSE because my roommate (exboyfriend. Thanks, economy! Can't afford to live alone) positively hates it and becomes a miserable grouch when I do.

So yeah, there's that. However at work I have a lot of Disney fans, so I can geek out here. :)

Funny you should ask... My DH and I actually got into a little spat last night about this exact topic! He thinks I'm over the top (and he's right). But, I tell him (1) I'm not the one. In fact, every time we talk about Disney with our friends/neighbors, at least one other person admits that either they or their spouse are addicts and huge Disney planners/enthusiasts. And, (2) As my DH, he should be supportive of my annoying traits;) Seriously, though, I told him that I don't think he realizes how much better of a trip our family has as a direct result of my Disney obsessiveness than those who just "wing it". For example, my ADRs are made with meticulous planning as to time and location in order to avoid grumblings about walking/waiting/eating at odd times/eating at the "what's left" restaurants if you wait to book. I know all character M&Gs. I know which rides to FP and which to wait in line for.

I know so many people who just go to Disney and then are mad about how chaotic/disorganized everything seems. That is never a comment you'll hear from my family! I just don't think they realize how much my OCD has benefited them and will benefit them again in 11 days! ;)
