And you have to remember that it IS at the end of the day and everyone is tired and probably have blisters or at least a sunburn. And most people are cranky at closing time. But, pregnant women ARE carrying around an extra person. People should take that into consideration too. I'd hate to be pregnant, in 80 degree weather, walking around all day. And somebody was too rude to give up their seat. I would stand up an extra 10-15 minutes just to be a nice person. I'm from the south and that's just the way we are.

If I were carrying around another person, I'd wait until that person left my body and we could all experience and appreciate WDW :)

I'm with you SheenaXena.

I wish I could say that I'm shocked to see people state that being pregnant at WDW is rude, but common courtesy isn't at all common any more.

I was going to say that too. But, I decided to be nice and take up for the ladies.:) I wouldn't go if I was pregnant AND I wouldn't take a baby either!

It was closing time at MK and we were slowly working our way down Main Street to the park exit. I was innocently walking along when this man with a stroller nearly knocked me over to get in front of me and then proceeded to stick is hand about one inch from my face and yell, "BACK OFF LADY!" I was so offended that I didn't know what to say, by the time I could react he had plowed his way through the crowd ahead of me and dissapeared....:brick: I've never had to push a stroller through MK and I can imagine after a long day it could be exhausting but don't take your frustration out on a complete stranger.

At one time I agreed with you 100%....Then I had my own kids. My youngest daughter was at WDW at 10 days old. However, taking an infant to WDW and doing it correctly is a real trick. If you try to force them to comply to your schedule (as I have seen many parents do) you are sunk. If you comply with their schedule, nap when they want to act eat when they want to eat, you can have a great time. My youngest is now 4 and has been to WDW more than 30 times and loves it more and more with every trip. To here WDW, Mickey Mouse and friends are as familiar as here own house and family.

10 days old?....isn't the extreme heat a bit much for an newborn?...im not knocking or questioning your parenting, I just couldn't imagine a 10 day old child being taken around in 100 degree heat (but you may have gone at a cooler time so I wouldn't know)

Im not trying to offend you, so please don't come back at me screaming

This whole giving-up-a-seat thing is interesting. I too was brought up to hold doors for people, say thank you, and give up your seats to those that need it. I guess the difference in opinion is in who needs it.

Personally, a pregnant woman or an older person will get my seat. Someone who has a tired 5-year old will not (kids are hearty, LOL - and if they are that exhausted they shouldn't have been kept out so late to begin with - the parents can hold 'em). Someone who forced themself on an obviously full bus won't either - patience is a virtute, and I'm not going to reward someone for not waiting a couple of minutes for the next bus to come (or, often times, a bus is pulling right up behind) during MK closing time. I also have little sympathy for those that feel they need to carry everything but the kitchen sink with them - a dad piled down with packages and strollers isn't going to earn any points with me either. He can stand. ;)

As someone who travels with someone in a wheelchair, it does bother me a great deal when someone has mobility problems that require them to use the lift and a chair/ECV and then takes up an additional seat beyond the three their device already does - just not cool. This past trip there was a young, admittedly healthy woman who had simply sprained her ankle (and would tell everyone about it...and the stories behind her many tattoos...) didn't know how to drive the ECV, took ten minutes, and then jumped right up and took up a 4th seat. Then she walked off the bus, and let her little brother drive the ECV off.

For the most part, people are considerate I have found. It's just the bad apples that stick out - those people that don't care if they bang you in the head with their triple-stroller while you are sitting on a bus, or people that take advantage of Disney's accomodations for the disabled. When I'm there I generally just chalk it up to the idiot brigade - common decency seems to go to the wayside when people pay a couple of grand to go on vacation and think it entitles them to be king of the World.

I agree with you on the last two but you can't just lump all people with strollers together. I spend my fair share of letting all the people who cut us off in our stroller through. Also on our recent trip we were standing waiting for wishes and some idiot ran and tried to jump over my daughters stroller and mis-timed his leap and slammed into the front and got up and kept on going and never looked back. He hit it so hard he broke the wheel off. Luckily my daughter was not in it or she would surely have a broken leg or worse...

I have many, many ignorat guest stories. I'll just tell you my pet peeves.

1) People with strollers. Yes, I know strollers are a necessity, but they are NOT weapons. People with strollers act like they own the paths. They will not hesitate to ram into the back of your legs or to cut you off.

2)People who dont bathe! :fork:

3)People who curse and use foul language in the parks.

I'll tell you my favorite story:
Guest:"Hey, I wonder where that Spiderman ride is..."

Seeing that he and his group are very confused, I try to help:"Sir, the Spiderman ride is at Universal's IOA."

Guest:"No, it is definately somewhere at Disney."

Me:"Sir, believe me. I rode it yesterday at IOA."

Guest:"Well I guess they have Spiderman there too."

Me: :brick:

today at Seaworld we were at the Shamu show, which was delayed due to lightning in the area. the family behind us called to change their hotel shuttle pickup so they could let their little girls see the show they had always wanted to see. at the end and as we left, the mom was smacking them hard in the back of their heads due to their behavior. as usual, all we can do is look away when the kids are looking around to see who saw it.

smoke in the designated places, and don't hit your kids. leave that behavior back at the trailer park.

Ii is handled with a little common sense. You dress them accordingly and don't leave them exposed to the elements as you would yourself. Our trip was on March 13 and we went to MK and EPCOT both of which have many attractions that an infant can be taken on many with A/C ques.

I've come across a few, but here's one that springs to mind...

We were seated in the 'Mickey' section, waiting for Fantasmic to start. However, we felt rather worried, as a man about three rows in front was wearing a cowboy hat. This man was tall as it was, but the hat made him even taller.

As this hat was rather obscuring the view of the stage area, I tapped him on the shoulder and asked "Would you mind taking your hat off when the show starts?". The response?

"I can't take my hat off as it's stuck to my head".

I was not best pleased.

High school cheerleaders. Fun to look at, but annoying. :lookaroun The younger ones are a lot better behaved. They are having fun, not trying to be cool like the older ones.

Flash photography during rides has been getting worse. I was one Soarin' this weekend, and someone took a picture. I wanted to find whoever did it and laugh at there face for not realizing that taking a flash picture of a projection screen is only going to give you a giant white screen, not the golden gate bridge. After this person took the picture, think of the drum beat acceleration in Illuminations, it got to the point where there was a flash going off every two seconds, and the cast members had to actually announce during the ride no flash pictures. I was so mad. Then the guy next to me proceeded to take a picture(I think he may not have understood English though, so I'll cut him a little slack, seeing as no one really set a good example for him).

Anyone who thinks they own the path with or without a stroller. I don't go to a park to be shoved around and have my achilles bashed in by strollers, as much fun as that sounds. During Wishes I stood up on the tape line with a bunch of other people when they gave us permission. Some man tried plowing through, muttered something under his breath to the female next to me, and shot her a dirty look. And finally, during Wishes some girl started yelling because she couldn't get through the middle of Main Street, "OH MY GOSH, THERES A WALL OF PEOPLE! THIS IS REDICULOUS!" or something along those lines is what she said. The CM in front of us proceeded with a, "Just settle down now." The way he said it though was hilarious. Honestly, don't people see the fireworks going on behind them, do they honestly expect that MSUSA will be empty during the firework show? I mean c'mon, use your head.

Line jumpers absolutely tick me off to no end, whatever your excuse, your not getting by me, I don't care, I'm not giving up my spot for you, your group can give up their spot, sorry.

With the loading the handicap on the bus first story, I'm sorry to hear that happened. When leaving AKL a simialar thing happened to us that the bus driver had to load a person in a wheel chair so he asked us to wait, well the smart *** behind us asked why we were waiting and we told him why, and he just got irritated. I mean show a little respect, the bus driver needs to lock down the wheel chair so their safe too, I hate how many people only think about themselves. It's not like the bus is going to leave without you.

On a little lighter pet peeve, people who get mad at CM's for not letting them in 30 minutes before their FP time. Honestly FP's are there for a reason, go do 2 rides then come back and walk on. It's not that hard of a concept to understand. I don't know how many times I get evil looks from people because I actually use the FP's the right way and just walk by the people who get there too early and have to wait. All I have to say is sorry you don't use the FP's right moron!

That rant felt pretty good after a long first day of school.
