So, my stupid self dropped the keys in the trunk as I shut it this morning. Oh yes. Only me. I didn't realize the police aren't able to help with that anymore either. Oyyy. What a morning! Missing work and all my stuff is in the trunk. With the keys. Yes. :dazzle::dazzle::dazzle:

I think it's time to listen to disney music to cheer myself up! :veryconfu

Unfortunately, yes.
I bought my Mom a ticket to Florida to surprise her, and I'm borrowing her car while she's gone. So of course, my names not on the ownership papers which is making things tricky. She called the dealer to see if I could get a temp key, but they said we'd need to bring in proof of ownership, which is in the car. Ha! Funny how those things work...

Glad it's going to work out! That is not a good way to start the day!!

I once locked my keys in the car and was also locked out of the house, pregnant, with my 1 year old (this was 7 years ago!), in the winter. I had my cell so I called my mom, she called AAA (which I had, but didn't have the number), and then she came to my house (15 minute drive). After about 10 minutes of telling her how I couldn't believe I did this, I put my hands in my pocket...and found my second set of keys.

I felt like a big dork and my mom was ready to throttle me. I forgot to mention this was around 7AM and I was bringing my daughter to the sitter before I went to work. I blamed it on the pregnancy!!

LOL---Oh, those moments. I'm so lucky that I have an understanding boss. Very blessed!

I still feel soooo dumb! Ha! I probably won't ever have a problem with this again- those keys will be superglued to my hand.

I have to add my :brick: story. My husband and I had run down during my lunch break to apply for our wedding license. Since we drove separately, we had met there. After getting the license, which went surprisingly smooth, we left to find, he had locked his keys in his car.
No problem, I had a spare set in my car. Because the keys were in the ignition, the remote would not work. So we tried to use the key in the lock, nope it was stuck and I tried to wiggle the key back and forth until the lock would open. Then I heard the "snap" and knew I had broken something. We would have tried the passanger door, but that handle was broken. (His car is 14 years old). He called AAA and they came out to to unlock his car.
After some complaining we decided to swing into a few dealerships as we were heading back home/work. The first place we stopped at was a small place that sold overpriced junk, but why not check it out. We looked at a few vehicles and decided to pass. Back to my car.....and it wouldn't start. I couldn't Are you kidding me? I just couldn't get the thing to start. Finally, we switched vehicles, he got my car started and I headed off to the mechanic's. Sure enough, no idea why it would not start.
Luckily, both vehicles are running fine, we got married on February 29th, and are about to adopt our son. Life can be........normal. :hammer:
