Day 1, March 19:
I’m posting this a little late, but I haven’t had the time so… Here we go! My family and I were in WDW from March 19 – 22. This trip we decided to do things in a unconventional way. Since we’ve been so many times, it’s good to mix thing up a little. Ya’ know? Wednesday my family and I arrived at the Magic Kingdom bright and early, Magic Bands and all. We started off in the Liberty Square and Fantasyland areas. We started off with the Haunted Mansion, Dumbo, etc. The lines weren’t terrible, but don’t even get me started on the FP+ lines. * A quick recommendation: If you can, book your trip ahead of time and connect your bands so that you can book your FP+ online or on the My Disney Experience App.* Please! I beg you!
After a little park time, it was time for our lunch reservations at Liberty Tree Tavern. If anyone is considering eating at a restaurant in MK and can’t decide, I highly recommend Liberty Tree Tavern – especially if you don’t want to character dine. Sure, you have BoG QS for lunch, Pinocchio Village Haus, all of that. Though sometimes, it’s really nice to just sit down at a table and have a waiter/waitress. If you’ve never eaten at LTT, I would by far choose to eat there for lunch, and to get a pot roast or Thanksgiving feast. Everything is just perfection. They cook the roast for six hours the morning of. Put it aside with perfect mash potatoes, and OH MY GOSH! Plus, I love how LTT souvenir mugs are available. They’re super cute, and a great memory.
After lunch, we used our Peter Pan’s Flight FP+, and then it was time to find our spots for the new Festival of Fantasy parade. We held those spots for quite some time, but a front row seat of the new parade was definitely worth the wait. Seeing FoF in person was nothing like seeing it online. I’m not the biggest parade fan, but that parade was just pure mesmerizing. The costumes and flots were definitely a step up for WDW parades. Festival of Fantasy comes in a close second up against Boo to You! Since we were going a different route this trip, we decided to go check in at our resort and rest for a few hours.
This trip, we stayed at Caribbean Beach (Jamaica, Corner Room). I was very pleased with my room since we asked for a corner room in Jamaica on online check in. *Another tip: Most of the time Jamaica is first to get on and off on the bus route.* We checked in, and went straight to the room and hummocks to rest. I understand CBR gets the most hate out of all the Moderate Resorts, or resorts in general, but it’s really not all that bad. My rooms have always been clean there, and I’ve never had a problem. So if you’re hesitant, I say go for it! The beaches and landscaping at CBR is just beautiful.. Another thing people always complain about at Disney is the walking at your resort. If you’re going to say at CBR and don’t want to walk, don’t stay in Barbados or Trinidad South!
After resting, we jumped on the bus to spend our night back at MK. Of course we rode more ride, but we also did some shopping and enjoyed some snacks. The cake cups at Cheshire Café… So darn delicious! *If you didn’t know this already, any time during your day at MK go over to Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Café and ask a CM for a Sonny Eclipse sticker.* The sticker is just adorable, and it’s a great little keepsake. After our night, it was back to the resort. The bus was actually okay that night, but it’s probably because we walked quickly to beat the crowds. So there you have it! Day 1!
*Days 2,3, and 4 coming later today – hopefully!
*Pictures will be added soon!
