Animal Kingdom resale

My wife and I currently have points at Grand Floridian but we are looking at adding points at another DVC resort in the near future. In looking at resales it seems that the AK points are a bit less expensive on the resale market versus the other resorts. Is there a reason for this that I'm missing or that's just how it is? We've only been to the resort to eat at Boma once and thought the resort itself was awesome. I just wanted to make sure there wasn't something I was missing regarding buying points here. Thanks for any insight.

Love a little Disney every day!! ;)
No real reason for the difference in price except maybe supply and demand. Some of the older properties are in more demand due to their locations etc so prices will be higher. And monorail resorts are in more demand for the location as well.
AKV Kidani is our fave and our home. Just some don't like it being they think it's too far from everything etc. Kidani is our fave for many reasons like the extra bathroom in 1 bed and 2 bed Villas etc, (also BLT has this) beautiful rooms, and I could go on. We also love VGF so those are our top 2 faves.
It's an awesome resort and can't be beat in some ways esp because of the animals etc. Don't let the lower prices steer you away from AKV. :)

We belong to AKV and I think the main reason why people stay away from buying there is the location being relatively far away from everything. We didn't let that deter us from buying there. While we wish sometimes that we had BWV or BCV because of Flower & Garden and Food & Wine, it really hasn't kept us from getting in there when we wanted to. AKV is a great resort in my opinion.

Based partially on the original costs, the number of units, as well as the slightly higher dues due to animal care. We love AKV, and wouldn't think of owning elsewhere. Numbers wise most of the resorts only have a few hundred rooms, AKV has about 700 possible, only a handful less than OKW, and I think on SSR is the only one significantly larger, at like 1200 possible rooms. Supply and demand drives most of the pricing.
