Animal Kingdom Parade

My Mom's 70th Birthday is Dec. 5th and we will be at the Animal Kingdom. Can anyone tell me how I would go about trying to get her in the afternoon parade? Thanks. We have been to Disney 21 times since 1995. She loves the Animal Kingdom and would love for her to be able to be a part of the parade.

When I was at WDW for the first time in May we were wearing 1st Visit badges and were approached around 1pm after meeting Goofy at Camp Minnie Mickey and asked 'if we were going to be watching the parade' and 'if we would like to help' and then asked to meet at a location before the parade started.

Everyone else who was there had also been met in this kind of way so I think it is pure luck to get chosen as we did to get onto the floats.
