Animal Kingdom Lodge or Caribbean Beach?

My Fiancé and I are going to WDW in November 2018, and I'm curious if we should switch from AKL to Caribbean Beach? One of the biggest factors for this is the bus service. Also, we know that CB is getting refurbished so the rooms might be newer and cleaner.

AKL > CBR. Even in just a standard room (as opposed to a savannah), AKL > CBR.

Disney Deluxe hotel with awesome theming versus a moderate that has seen better days. Not really a question or area for debate.

No question about it - AKL. It is one of our favorite resorts overall! CBR is my least favorite moderate (construction or not) honestly.

Bus service is the worst for Caribbean because there are so many stops.

I have stayed at CBR four times and AKL once....and I still vote for AKL overwhelmingly.

Just based on the room sizes, amenities, variety of restaurants offered and design and theming of the resorts overall - Animal Kingdom Lodge without a single doubt.

AKL is our favourite. We have spent lots of nights at CBR and it is a nice resort. If you were looking to save a few bucks this would be a good option IMO. But AKL is a phenomenal resort. So relaxing and so themed. Lots of animals to see. We never had any real issues with the busses. You only have one stop at most (depending on if you are staying at Jambo or Kidani) versus CBR which has multiple internal stops before you even get on your way to the parks...

The only reason to choose Caribbean Beach is if you couldn't afford Animal Kingdom Lodge. Otherwise AKL is one of the most visually stunning resorts in the entire world.

AKL if you can afford it. Lots of CBR under construction so it takes away from the magic. You get what you pay for at WDW.

...because there isn’t one.

If Caribbean was $125 (where it should be) and DAKL was $300...you got an argument. But since one can begotten via discount and one is vastly overpriced (even at discount)...the jury ruled before the trial was over.

If money is no object, then AKL all the way. One day for me, perhaps. . . Too much construction at CBR right now anyway.
