Hey everyone!

I'm heading to WDW in late August for my 21st birthday! I was wondering about the bathrooms in the regular (not villa/DVC) rooms. I've seen the tub in the room but is there a way for me to take a bath? My bathroom at home doesn't have a tub, and I wanted to go all out in pampering myself on this amazing trip, so I was thinking about buying some bath bombs to soak in after a long day in the parks! Is there a way to make the tub fill or is it drain only?

Love a little Disney every day!! ;)
Yes it's a regular tub you can fill with water as all are on property. Enjoy your baths!! I know I enjoy mine on vacation and at home and couldn't do without them. :cat:

oh I could NOT do without my bathtub. That is actually one of the things that keeps me from cruising more....I can't afford to take a cruise suite with an actual TUB. I LOVE my baths, hot ones, cool ones, bubble baths, jacuzzi baths. I usually pack a couple small battery operated votives in my makeup bag, and take a DARK bath - very relaxing. Enjoy your bath...lean your head back and put your feet up and, AAaahhhh !!

Yep totally agree! I won't stay at a hotel anywhere that I am not guaranteed a bathtub. Like for instance we are going to Austin this fall to see Adele and I was torn between 2 I narrowed down the 2 hotels in the Hilton family being we are Hilton Hhonors members with a ton of points to use. One was closer to the venue and the other was farther away. Well the one closer you either get a shower OR a tub/shower and could not choose but rather only make a request. So I picked the Hilton farther away but by 6th street being we are guaranteed to have a tub. Lol.
Even at home I only take a shower when I need to also wash my hair. I take mostly baths. Also being on our feet all day at WDW it's so nice to sit down and relax rather than stand longer to take a shower. ;)

If only all the deluxes had this bathtub:

That's the bathtub in the 2 bedroom villa at GF. I want one for my master bath renovation I'm planning.

With regards to Basin, the store at Disney Springs has a wider selection of bath bombs. My favorite is the sea salt therapy. Basin White in GF doesn't stock that one. But it's less crowded than the one at DS.

Yep I agree that tub and whole bathroom is amazing as we have stayed in the villas before at GF!!! Only issue we had the tiny air Jets would randomly come on when the tub was not being used. It was weird. Haha! :bored::D

My problem is that one of those jets hits you in a delicate spot. I got a faceful of water and air after my first use, because I didn't realize that the automatic self cleaning mode occurred several minutes after you drained the tub...and that it ran twice. I thought something was wrong with the tub (oh, no, I broke that expensive tub!) and leaned over to see was was wrong. :hilarious:

LOL! Maybe that's what I thought kept coming on! So glad I mentioned this. That's even more awesome it self cleans! I need this tub in my life in our next house!!!
My jetted tub is a pain in the butt (want to say the other word haha!) to keep clean because it has those big open jets. So annoying so I rarely use it now except when we are cleaning it with a bleach cleaning cycle. :p:cat:

I have a huge soaker tub in my master bath.... it's so long I can nearly lay down in it (I'm 5'8"). And deep, really deep, hard to climb out of. I drain my 50 gallon hot water heater just trying to fill the darn thing. But thankfully, it's not jetted. Too many of my friends complain more about their jetted tubs than like them, because they are so hard to clean. I'm renovating my master bath and want a soaker tub, but not one that takes up almost half of the bathroom, leaving me with a 3 foot x 3 foot shower. I'm sure the wife of the previous owners is responsible for that bathtub..."honey, I want a big soaker tub...you don't need a very big shower..." :angelic:

Haha!! Yeah I would love to keep a jetted tub/soaker tub so the one at GF is perfect! No big jets just the tiny air holes etc and it's the perfect size. Not way too big and not too small.
Speaking of tubs that take a whole 50 gallon water heater to fill you should see the tub in the Garden Suites/cottages at The Boardwalk. It took FOREVER to even fill enough to go over my lower body because it is so wide and deep like basically an indoor hot tub size. You probably could of fit 3 people in there. Haha!

Oh, the Jacuzzi tub? That's the same tub that's in all the 1 bedroom and up DVC villas, other than the GF. Yeah, it takes a while to fill. Once my daughter thought it would be nice to add some of her Bath & Bodyworks shower gel to the tub... and then she turned on the jets.... Yeah....

No not those the Garden Cottage suites one is ALOT larger than the ones in the Villas. Also AKV Kidani has a different jacuzzi tub too. It's a long rectangle shape and I love that one too it's my second fave to GF, unlike the garden oval shape in the other villas besides GF. The Garden suites are not DVC rooms but rather a regular suite and they are awesome but that tub takes FOREVER to fill even halfway. Sorry did I say that already. Haha! ;)
