Animal Kingdom late hours?

Hi folks,

Forgive me if this has been asked before. The park hours for the first week of our trip in March have come out, but they are showing Animal Kingdom only being open until 6pm each night. I thought with all the nighttime stuff they have added lately that it would be open later than this. Is it likely the hours will change closer to the time, as they are still ironing out the night time stuff?

I'm a basket case, and I'm only waiting for November trip! I find myself checking the park hours daily on my phone, just to see if they've changed everything. My dining and FP+'s are pretty much locked in. But try to maintain an even keel, and you'll get the info you need. Bon chance!!

They just went to 7 :)
Oh, my goodness! Do you think they're monitoring the forums and decided to change just to accommodate us?? Tee-hee.
But did you notice that other than an additional show for Lion King and Nemo, nothing new has been added for the later closing time? Is Rivers of Light ever going to happen?

We will be there in November and I'm glad to see the move to 7 pm. I am hopeful they may go even later.

I sure hope they do! Sunset won't even be until about 5:30pm, which won't give people much time to enjoy the AK "after dark." (Not to mention, we have a Boma ADR for 6pm on our AK day, and were hoping to be able to go back to AK afterwards... I might try to move it up a little...)

They just the other day updated the October hours to have an 8:30 close, and October is only a few weeks away. Months away, give them time. Odds are they are still waiting for ROL to firm up before making many changes.

I've seen several rumor/reports the last day or so that say Rivers of Light is anticipated to be up and running by the end of October.
