Animal Kingdom Help Needed

Ok, so in the past AK is not a park we have normally spent a lot of time at. However, this time around I am finding that there is a lot of priority from our family members to see various shows and such at AK. I am a bit frustrated that I can go to the MK calendar on the Disney site and get the show times for Come Dream and Storytime w/Belle, but I can't get the showtimes for Nemo or Lion King - or even the parade. Really finding it a hard park to plan for... and planning is a must because of the age range in our group! Tired of :brick:, so looking for some help! Even just a general schedule would be nice. I understand that the schedule can change, but a bench mark to go by would be great!

Exactly so Rob, I find Steve's site to be very useful in planning my trip. The only downside is that he only gets the schedules at the beginning of the week so the times can change week to week but usually not by much. Enjoy! Belle

Animal Kingdom is very underrated in my opinion. My family usually arrives close to opening and we have a difficult time seeing everything before closing time.

Nemo the Musical and The Festival of the Lion King are two of the very best shows on the entire property. Also, Kilimanjaro Safaris, Dinosaur, and Expedition Everest are three of the very best rides at any park.

I also highly recommend the Steve Soares website link posted above.

While I agree that it is underrated, I have never not finished before closing time. Using FP efficiently makes it possible to be fiished by 2pm at the latest.

A good plan would be to head right to Kilimanjaro Safaris upon arrival. If the line is more than 20 minutes, get a FP and grab breakfast...or head over to Pangani Forest Trail...or if there is a show Flights of Wonder (you may have time for all three before KS). Then catch the train to Planet Watch. I rarely spend too much time there since there isn't much to do there (for me, anyway). Then go over to Kali River Rapids...it's usually a walk-on in the mornings. Afterwards I usually do the Maharajah Jungle Trek to dry off. Since I travel alone, I use the single rider line for Everest. But even then, you can grab a FP and catch Finding Nemo...or just get in the standby line. I don't really like Primeval Whirl (or as I call it, deathtrap spin), but even if you stand in line for it and Dinosaur, you'd still have time to see Lion King and Bugs Life before 1:30pm or 2:00pm. That's walking at a normal pace too (no running around). Then you can check out the animals in the oasis abd by the Tree of Life. It seems like a busy, full day, but if planned right you could do it all by lunch. But, that's me when travelling alone...I'm sure it might be a little more difficult when there are more people in the group. But it is still possible.

But I agree: I could spend all day there if I wanted and never be bored.

Thanks for the touring plan tip. Normally it is just my son and I and we do what he wants. Last year was the first trip with my family and we did most of what you suggested in your tour trip. This time it is my boyfriends family accompanying us and the MiL has a 4yr & 2yr olds with her. That changes everything because now there are things my teens haven't been interested that the tots will want to see and we will have to take a break inbetween for naps! lol!

Thanks to all for the help!! Really really appreciate it!
