Animal Kingdom Back Stage Safari

My personal opinion would be no. I have taken this particular tour 4 times and once we had someone in a motorized cart. The first thing the CM asked was if they could walk. There is alot of stairs, walking, passageways, obsticles that you have to walk over, you are constantly in and out of the vans. It is totally backstage and a semi off-road experience. I would think Disney could accomodate the person, but I think it may be difficult if they are 100% wheel chair bound. The best thing to do is to contact Disney's tour department and ask these specific questions with them. This is only my opinion, but sorry - no I don't think it is a suitable tour.

Andy,

I apologize if I sound insensitive in any way, but this is a difficult tour. I would hate not to be upfront and then it turn out to be a horrible experience for someone. There are other Disney tours that might be more suitable if they are interested in anything else. I love the Backstage Safari, as is appearent by the number of times I have taken it. If it is something this person is set on, then I would really take time to discuss your concerns with Disney's tour department or a guide for this particular tour itself (407-WDW-TOUR). They would really have the best insight as to the possibilities for someone in this position. Good Luck.
