Good afternoon! I am not staying on Disney property and unfortunately was not able to get a coveted Flight of Passage fast pass. I also obviously do not have magic hours. What time would you recommend arriving to the park to hopefully avoid any serious wait times for Flight of Passage. I was thinking about an hour before the park opens, 8am? Has anyone else experienced this and what time were wait times at 9am as soon as the park opened on a regular, non-magic hour day? Thank you!!

You should get their 90 minutes before opening. This blog post should help give you an idea of what's necessary.
7-7:30 AM is a good arrival time for a 9:00 AM opening. Even with that early of an arrival, wait times seem to start at an hour or more right at park open.
If it is a Early extra magic hours day you are going to walk into a very long wait regardless of when you arrive..
