Ackbar definitely deserves better treatment than he got in the sequels. Maybe throw in general Dodonna or maybe agent kallas and a fulcrum storyline

Dodona is the old general with the beard in new hope. Kallas and Fulcrum are from Star Wars rebels which is well worth watching esp with Ashoka coming upHaven’t a clue who most of them are but I agree

Yikes. Trying to tell four years of story in one season aka they planned four more seasons and didn't get them but want to get their story out in at least minimum amounts/highlights version. Not a good sign.
I'll try it out when season 1 debuts, but that's really sad. I feel for the writers.
Each double episode is the length of a full movie...

Yes, but it was originally planned for five seasons, then cut down to three and now two.
It may turn out better this way or it may be a "hurry up and get the basic story beats in before they pull the plug". We'll find out when it airs. But not a good sign of faith to shorten it so drastically.

In my opinion, they are getting away from HBO's House of the Dragon and Amazon's new Lord of the Rings series. Those two shows could be big, and Andor was smashed in between the two. That is just my take, though.

It still sounds like a real vote of no confidence in the show, which is disappointing. The implication is - we gave them all the resources for the first season they wanted but we don't have the confidence as a result in them doing four more seasons or that people will want to see it. So we'll let them finish the story in one more season and that's it. There is no way anyone creatively chose this method of hurry-up-and-finish-fast storytelling.
