Trip Report And When it's Time to Find Home. We know the Way!! Aue Aue

Good Morning all my Disney loving friends! We just hit the road and our first destination is Charlotte, NC. However, before I get ahead of myself, it is our normal crew, myself, Deighton (I turn the big 5 0 this year), Den my husband and our 3 kids. Hunter who is 20 and is now bartending... Camden 13 still an avid lacrosse player and fisherman and the youngest Brinley, 9 for now but on August 10 she will turn 10 in Disney World.

Here is a brief schedule of the next 2 weeks. As I stated earlier we will arriving in Charlotte, NC around 4 pm today. We have reservations at a southern BBQ restaurant (let the feeding frenzy begin). Tomorrow, we leave early to get to Savannah Georgia as soon as possible. We have a lot that we want to do here but the weather is not showing that it is going to cooperate. Hopefully the weather man is as wrong in Savannah as they are in
Pittsburgh!

After a night in Savannah, we are headed to Disney Springs for 2 days. We have reservations in Disney Springs and this is when we will do some resort hopping. Then it is home to The Boardwalk for 9 nights with a seven day hopper. Then back to Charlotte to meet up with my brother and his family. Then sadly home and back to the grind! I will post more details shortly!

It has been a great trip - done lots of "firsts" for me and although some are "one and done" others weren’t as scary as I imagined . We’ve managed to power through the heat each day and get pretty much everything done before the downpours have occurred.

The only negative was the Tiana went down the other day shortly before we were going to ride it. I might see if anyone is willing to wait in line with me tomorrow night (or wait in line by myself).

Off we go, FINALLY!! The birthday girl took a long nap which she, honestly, did need for a late night in MK! Plus, all 5 of us are together which makes all right in Brinley 's world, if, only she could bring the cats as her emotional support animals!!Then everything would be purrfect!!

News flash... we canceled our Whispering Canyon reservation through K Dog and our hanging out in the Artist Point Lounge. None of us are too hungry! Shocker!! We would never be able to eat a skillet! Ask for Justin, he is outstanding!!

You just go to your wallet in the Disney app and a CM will scan the extra ll. Also, the wonderful CM told me that I could go to guest relations and they, may, give me my money back. I chose to ride!

I’m not sure if this is always true…I think it depends on how everyone is scanning their tickets. My husband and kids have magic bands, but I use my phone. I could only see my LL’s in my wallet, not any one else’s, even though I was the one booking them in MDE.

Question-did you just use his magicband to ride it twice.?

Not sure if it’s technically allowed, but we have definitely done this without issue.

We bought 4 lightening lanes for Brin's birthday. Cam insisted that he would not ride. Guess what happened? I gave up my Tron at night ride to ride GOG twice in a row! I think i got the best deal!!

Wow!! It has been years since I have been at MK late at night! It is a zoo!

The rides are awesome but the chaos near close it is a little too much for me. I think it is the anxiety of how long the buses are to The Boardwalk.

Thankfully, we are currently on our way back!
Brin had a wonderful 10th birthday!! Hunter bought her a pink sword from the Pirates store. She loves it but I forsee bad things happening...

We usually all have bands. I’ve never thought to look at my phone. It’s usually J & I riding things that E & R won’t so we just take their bands(while they sit at Baseline!!). The tiers are frustrating(esp at HS) bc there are so many rides they won’t go on & I don’t want to use LL’s for shows. So, basically J & I end up reaping the benefits. And no one has ever questioned us. The way I look at it is you’re paying for it-what does it matter who actually goes on the ride?

I totally agree with you. Tron is so short that I can take it or leave it.

We took a beautiful walk over to and around the tree of life. We had planned to see the Lion King and sit at the Nomad Lounge but Brin called and was up and bored. We were really hoping she would sleep longer for multiple reasons but, mainly because she is exhausted. We went to Animal Kingdom to get her a gift for her birthday that she has always wanted.
