I'm not on twitter. Think I'm missing out?

I like it...but I have very different Disney friends over there than I do here. I keep up to date mostly over there now...not as much here now. I'm really a fan of Twitter more than FB now. I really dislike some of the stuff that goes on on FB, like some of the games. It's gotten too "commercial" for me. Too different from it's original purpose, which is why I leaned more towards Twitter.

That being said...with Twitter, I have gained a lot of new Disney friends...it's just very different than being on Magic. (Though I still LOVE you guys...and couldn't imagine not talking to you all each day...but the other areas are still sorta different...) It's in a way more of a Disney community on Twitter. People really root for each other...much like we do here, which is why I really enjoy it.

Depends, it's nice to have if you just want to text people who don't ahve your phone number that's pretty much all I use it for...:lol:

See, I don't use it for that use at all. I really use it as a community aspect. I would have never "met" some of the people in the Disney community that I've now "met" if it hadn't been for Twitter. To me, it reminds me a lot of here...but you all will always be my number 1, 2, 3, 4, 5...etc...

But, I can see how someone would maybe use it for that use as well...I just went for the more community use.

To be honest... I just don't need yet another medium of communication with people. I feel over communicated (?:shrug as it is. I can't keep up with responding to phone messages, text messages, e-mails, fb messages :dazzle:

I told myself I'd never be out of the loop on pop culture. But, alas, I don't tweet and I couldn't name one song that Justin Beeber (I know I spelled it wrong...) sings.

:lol: I only joined for the Podcast at first...because it was a way for me to keep in touch with listeners, but it actually turned out to be a fabulous thing. I'm on it constantly. I check it multiple times a day. It's like Disney crack for me. I stay pretty in tune with everything going on Disney-wise there though.

I couldn't imagine not having Twitter now. But at first, I thought it was just a stupid fad as well. But you have to use it right. You have to search for Disney fans to connect with. If you're just using it as your own news feed of "I ate a banana this morning." etc, it's pointless. But if you use it for a real purpose of getting to know others...it's great. It's like it was made for Disney fanatics...

If that's the case, then Twitter is probably not for you. Although, you might find yourself veering away from some of them with Twitter. I only check my FB one or two times a day...but I check Twitter multiple, multiple times. It's always in the background, much as this thread is.
