Al Lutz had one of his great updates today with lots of Disneyland dish. And towards the end there was this nifty timeline of coming attractions/events for the Anaheim parks. I will cut and paste it here, as it really speaks volumes all by itself. Just one question though, where are all of these people coming to Anaheim in the next few years going to park?!?

Here's the timeline from Mr. Lutz:

"So let's run down that list and calendar of what is heading to Anaheim at the parks and hotels, as we know it today (subject to change or arbitrary whims of course);

  • July 16, 2009 – New Blue Sky Cellar Exhibit
  • August, 2009 – First Disneyland Hotel tower begins refurbishment
  • September, 2009 – D23 Expo, Grand Californian DVC wing opens, New HalloweenTime fireworks
  • December, 2009 – New Mr. Lincoln Show debuts
  • March, 2010 – World of Color debuts
  • April, 2010 – Silly Symphony Swings debut, Paradise Pier shops makeover completed
  • Spring, 2010 – Disneyland 55 Anniversary entertainment and decor debuts
  • Summer, 2010 – Route 66 makeover completed
  • December, 2010 – Goofy's Sky School debuts
  • May, 2011 – Little Mermaid E Ticket / Star Tours 2.0 debuts
  • December, 2011 – DCA Main Entrance/Buena Vista Street debuts
  • Spring, 2012 – Disneyland Hotel refurbishment completed
  • June, 2012 – Cars Land debuts

I cant wait for Blue Sky Cellar to be updated! we need some more models of whats to come.

I hope DLR releases some info on Halloween Time soon, Interesting to note that on the DL.com website Halloween Time is now 2 words instead of one like years prior, maybe they realised they cant make up words? :D

Agreed. Analysts have been berating Disney for years that they have no 5/10/15 year plan for WDW. There's absolutely no organization, nothing to get excited about, and they need it.

Now, as for the OP. I forget, what's Goofy's Sky School?

Goofy's Sky School will be the new name for Mulholland Madness, the mouse coaster over in the corner of Paradise Pier. It will be rethemed to include Goofy.

Anyone know the progress it'll be at in October on some of the bigger items?
I'm heading out to Disneyland for the first time ever this fall and will be touring the construction sites.

For WOC its said to be refilled starting in late Aug, but the viewing area isnt suppose to be done till some time in Dec.

Word has it that the construction walls will surround the area of Pizza Oom Mow Mow, the old Burger Invasion, the soon to be closed SS Rustworthy and possibly Mulholland Madness , Im not sure of a timeline but Blue Sky Cellar has the area reopening in sping 2010 as Paradise Gardens. That would be one scary wall, from the Paradise Pier parade gate to the old SF restrooms. Add to that the walls around Orange Stinger, and the viewing area.

You guys forget that DCA needs these attractions desperately. It was a poorly planned park from the start, and this is a big turn around. Our parks down here were designed nicely from theming to construction. Plus four parks are harder to maintain and freshen then two.

I really don't think we're getting the shaft, though it has been three years since Everest debuted.

I think its time to give this an updating starting off with the official/confirmed items then the rumors-

2010-
  • Captain EO returns
  • Rivers of America completes a major refurbishment
  • Silly Symphony Swings
  • World of Color
    • Paradise Park
  • Disneyland 55th Anniversary?

2011–
  • Little Mermaid-Ariel's Undersea Adventure
    • Seaside Souvenirs(re theme of Souvenir 66)
  • Star Tours 2.0

    • Red Car Trolleys
  • Disneyland Hotel renovation completed
  • Carsland
    • Radiator Springs Racers
    • Tow Mater's Junkyard Jamboree
    • Luigi's Roamin' Tires

Somewhere in that time line are these-

  • Blue Sky Cellar update (I can see this happening shortly after World of Color opens)
  • Paradise Gardens
    • Paradise Garden Grill(rethemeing of Pizza Oom Mow Mow)
    • Boardwalk Pizza and Pasta(rethemeing of Burger Invasion)
  • Goofy's Sky School(rethemeing of Mullholland Madness)
  • Paradise Pier shops remodel
  • Ariel's Grotto retheme to Princess Palace
  • Re-themeing of Hollywood Pictures Backlot to Hollywood Land

Somewhere in the rumors

I think the concept art below might be more accurate. I'm pretty sure the ride will adopt the classic Victorian themeing that the rest of the pier is getting.

Inspired by his "How To" cartoon series of the 1940s and 1950s, Goofy offers lessons in barnstorming at his seaside flying school — Goofy's Sky School.

It looks so much better than whats there now, Im hoping that rumors pan out correctly that it will eventually be replaced with a new attraction all together but for now a step in the right direction.

Agreed. It looks like this ride will at least have a story and will look great next to the other PP attractions that are getting the Victorian re-theming. The lighting should look nice and the trees below the coaster will make it seem like you're flying over some kind of park. Not sure what the screens are - video screens maybe? or maybe artwork from old Goofy cartoons.
