How about a new attraction announcement, or a special edition of Illuminations? Selling us T-Shirts, and no doubt cupcakes, is not a suitable celebration of Epcot's 30th. If anything, all this merchandise just shows that Epcot's best days are behind it.

Adam @jedimaster1227 is part part of the WDWCelebrations crew and they are organizing an event for the 30th. As always seem the case, they will probably end up adapting their program to include whatever Disney decides to do at the last minute...
