Tell me you disagree with this:
...and just as the Disney family has no inherent right to serve on the Board, Mr. Eisner should have no "divine right" to decree his successor. We fervently hope that the Board will have the fortitude and independence to hire the best candidate for the job, and not just meekly anoint Mr. Eisner's chosen crown prince.

Roy is absolutely right. Eisner shouldn't be the one deciding who Disney's next CEO should be...

It would be nice to see the stockholders choose based on 1 person 1 vote. (not 1 share one vote because Eisner's choice would be selected by Wall Street).

Unfortunately Roy manages to loose another opportunty to take the high road and sinks into petty namecalling...

The Disney Company is a publicly-traded corporation, not a personal fiefdom, and just as the Disney family has no inherent right to serve on the Board, Mr. Eisner should have no "divine right" to decree his successor. We fervently hope that the Board will have the fortitude and independence to hire the best candidate for the job, and not just meekly anoint Mr. Eisner's chosen crown prince.
When will he learn that while this may play well to folks like us, professionally, it allows his words to be dismissed out of hand as personal and petty. He seemed to be doing so well in the first 2/3 of his letter too...

Darkmeasures, while your stock vote idea may sound fair, I don't know of any other stock that allows voting in that manner.
