I dreamt of a land that was oh so far,I went by plane, not by car.A land filled with magic dreams, with children's laughter and sometimes screams.Where pixie dust filled the air,and Princess Merda with her long red hair.Mickey & Minnie and the rest of the pack, would be there to welcome you back. But there it stood in all it's glory, just one bite, would start this story. The yumminess that I had tasted, not one morsel would be wasted. Now that Iam home,it's in my jar. That awesome Magic Cookie Bar.:) sorry! I can't help it,Iam in love with the cookie.Who said Iam mad.

You have probably had these before and just didn't know the name. There are several slightly different recipes out there but this is the most common: Enjoy! They are very simple to make and delicious.

Cheers for that, haven't made them yet but will this weekend. On this recipe I see you pour the milk over the first layer of crumbs & melted butter, but another has all the layers put on then the condensed milk slowly poured over.Which do you do?

There are so many recipes for Magic Cookie Bars out there (and you can improvise and add your favorites) yet no matter how many I make they just don't taste the same as the ones you can get in WDW...must be the magic ;)

To Real Mad Hatter --- did you get the recipe from WDW? If so can you please post it in our recipe thread for all to enjoy? It's stickied to the top of this forum. Thanks!

My husband's great aunt used to make the best ones ever. She gave me her recipe, which is basically the one posted above, but mine don't come out quite as good (but we still like them!)

Honestly, I don't believe it will matter in the end but I'm sure I pour over the first layer of crumbs and melted butter. Since I will usually press everything down with a fork before baking, I wouldn't want the mess of the condensed milk getting in the way. If the milk is below the chips, etc., its easier to press down.
