Amenities at POR

We leave tomorrow for our trip to Port Orleans Riverside so I was packing. Do I need to pack a hairdryer or do they have them like most hotels? Also, do you recommend us bring our beach towels? We aren't going to the water parks just the resort pools. Thanks in advance!

Just got back from POR as always an excellant resort, hair dryers are in the rooms as well as the availability of large pool towels.In room coffe makers and supplies if you choose to use them. all for free. Hope you enjoy POR as much as we do. Have a safe trip

POR and PRFQ in my opinion are above-"Moderate" resorts.
Very nice places to stay.

You are going to Love POR. Just don't over pack. They do have laundry facilites near each of the "quiet" pools.

As the above posters have answered your questions, I will just say HAVE A FABULOUS STAY AT POR!!! I have stayed there before and am staying there again in July. Just one bit of advice: Ask for the closest room to the main building. It really doesn't matter if it is in the mansions or the bayou. Both have the same things. The bus stop is also in front of the main building and you probably will want to use that one as the buses fill up quickly. Again, I hope you have a wonderful time.

If I stay at POR-Aligator Bayou which buildings would be closest to the main building? It looks like 14,15, and 18 would be. Someone mentioned 18 might actually be a little quieter. Thanks.

:wave: Yep, all rooms at Riverside have safes. actually, all rooms at all resorts have safes. even value. have a magical trip, you lucky person! we dont go till Jan. 2007! :brick:

I think those are the closest, with 14 being THE closest. The closest mansions are Oak Manor and Partierre (sp?) Place. None of the mansions are too far away. I just ask for the closest room....as long as it is non smoking, I don't care if it is mansions or bayou.
