Amazon Pantry?

Has anyone here used amazon pantry to have groceries delivered to their hotel? I've been looking through it to have some bottles of smart water for myself and some little bottles of water and juice boxes for the kids shipped to our hotel and was just wondering if anyone else had used this service and the success they had.

If you have used it, how soon before your trip did you place the order to have it when you arrived?

I used Prime Pantry on my last trip and it worked great. You just set up another delivery address for you resort including your arrival date as part of the name field. If I remember right, I placed my order about 5 or 6 days before my arrival. When I checked they let me know that I had package waiting and asked if I wanted delivered to the room. Planning on using them again for our next trip.

This is a great idea ! We usually have our airport transport service stop at Publix on our way in from the airport and do a mad dash stocking up for the week. This could be much more convenient. Not familiar with Amazon Pantry, can you order beer and wine thru their service ?

I have had water shipped to my resort by Costco. Really is great to have it there. Just a tip: if you are staying at a resort that is also used for conventions, (I don't know the whole list, but know that CSR falls in this category) you might be charged a handling fee for each shipped package. It has been awhile, so I am not sure how much the fee is today.

I haven't used Amazon Pantry yet, but I have used gardengrocer.com. They will deliver wine and beer. You have to scan your license and send it to them to prove that you are of age, and they deliver straight to the resort. If you aren't there to get your delivery, bell services will hold it (including refrigerated items) until you get there.

I just packed a couple flat rate boxes of things we wanted: Cereal, snacks, electric hot water pot, mugs, shampoo, etc. and sent them. It was 27.00 for both boxes which is less than checking a bag. Almost all of the stuff is to be eaten or disposable, so only the hot pot comes back in the luggage. Can't wait to meet them at the resort...:)

I thought of doing it that way too, but it is only $5.99 shipping per box at amazon pantry for the shipping and the smartwater is actually cheaper than I can buy it in the store here and the juice boxes the same and those two things don't even take up half the space allowed in the box. We technically could check a bag for free because southwest allows two bags per person, but then we'd have to deal with it in the airport and on the magical express and it just seemed like a pain. Lol

Thanks everyone!

Last august I used amazon pantry for baby items. I shipped milk boxes, juice boxes, cereal, fruit snacks, goldfish crackers, baby food, wipes, etc. we stayed at the contemporary and had to pay a little service charge (I think $5 but not sure). When we checked in I told them I had a package delivered and they sent it to our room for us. Would definitely recommend this for anyone traveling with a baby or toddlers! It becomes very worthwhile if what you are sending doesn't weigh too much. For example, a case of water almost takes up a whole virtual box but a cereal box is minimal. I was able to ship all baby items I needed for 8 days in one box. I also get diaper delivery once a month through amazon and for our trip I just changed the delivery address for that months shipment to the contemporary.

Thanks everyone! I am trying to avoid wegoshop and garden grocers because their fees are not worth what little we would need to buy. We have the dining plan and were really just looking for some cheap way to get some bottles of water down there since none of us like the Florida water and bottles are just easier than quick service free cups.

I calculated it out and we'd save I believe like... $50 shipping two twelve packs of water through amazon pantry vs. paying for 24 bottles of water in the parks. I just wanted to make sure no one had any major issues using this service.
