Am I the only one who worries about trip not happening?

I am so looking forward to the trip we have planned for Disney at the end of Aug. that I am sitting here making myself sick worrying about things that could go wrong to prevent us from being able to go. Like a family emergency, a hurricane (since we are in FL & it is Hurricane season), my Husband is always losing everything so I'm worried he will lose his ID right before the trip & he won't be able to pick up his seasonal pass etc. Am I the only one who does this? Instead of just looking forward to the trip, I am worried about what could go wrong. Why do I do this to myself?

Two years ago, our vacation started with two days in Daytona Beach before proceeding to Disney for six more. On the second day in Daytona, I broke my foot in three places while on the beach. We were terrified about how this would affect our vacation, but you have to sit back and make rational decisions in difficult situations. Turns out a family member had been hurt while at Disney World a couple of years before and suggested to us that a scooter could be the answer. Six glorious days later, our first WDW vacation was in the books and we are ready for trip number three in a few weeks. If you just deal with adversity as it occurs, keep your head and maintain a good attitude, you will be able to have a good time.

The night before what was supposed to be my first trip to WDW when I was 7 years old, my little brother woke up in the middle of the night with a fever. That morning, my parents cancelled our WDW trip. It was devastating! I still remember it like it was yesterday. Fortunately, they rescheduled for 3 months later.

In 2011 we scheduled an October trip to celebrate my mom's birthday and when my brother in-law was diagnosed cancer in June we didn't think it would be a problem. His treatments were going good but complications happened and he died three days before we were supposed to leave. We cancelled our trip. In 2012 thought we try again the birthday celebration for mom but my husband had to change jobs, yes we had to cancel the trip. I felt so bad for my mom. We decided October wasn't a good month to go so mom said she celebrate her 1/2 birthday April 2013. Trip was great, my sister and family we able to join us for the trip.

Do you leave every morning 3 hours earlier for work because their MIGHT be an accident? Don't worry about the stuff you can't control. Worry about making sure you have all the clothes you need. Any dinner reservations you want are made. You have your fast passes picked and what rides are must do. Family emergencies, storms, etc are stuff you can't worry about. There is no sense in worrying about them. If they happen then you deal with them the best you can.
