Am I expecting too much?

This time around I booked our upcoming vacation with a travel agent. One that promises to treat your vacation as their own, book your Adrs for you. Twice now I have heard I will do that tomorrow and never was done. Two days later I'm still waiting. Now I'm thinking twice about having them make my Adrs. Is this the norm? I'm thinking I should have just booked it myself.

Not a good travel agent!
Personally, I do not understand why anyone would leave making their ADR's to someone else. I get up at 6 am ready to call or get online to make SURE I am getting the restaurants we want. Some go within minutes of the lines opening and I have a hard time believing any TA is going to do the same for me. Even though I would never use a TA to plan and/or book our vacations I can sort-of see why others would but I love doing it all myself and have the satisfaction of knowing I did everything I needed when I needed. I like to ask questions myself, too, not get a third party to tell me what a CM said.

I used a TA for my first time this trip. I'm using her because I didn't want to be on the phone/online with Disney anymore. I love my TA when I got up at 8 am I had all my ADRs set up just like we had discussed and the confirmations in my email. My TA is wonderful and treats my vacation as if it were her own. She spent 8 hours on the phone the day Free Dining for fall came out rearranging and booking for various clients. I never would have done that for myself. I would have given up. The trick is finding the right TA.

Myself, as well as every other agent I worked with, did exactly that almost every morning. Many who were located in other time zones were up as early as 3:00 AM making ADR's. It is part of the job.

I book my trips through Kingdom Konsultants, but make my own ADR's. I like being on the phone at 7am and getting it done so I no longer need to worry about it. It has been a breeze working with them and all of the agents are so nice and helpful. You should book your own ADR's, you could have had them done by now on your own. I hate relying on other people when I can do it myself.
