My wife and I have been thinking about heading to DW in November with our 3 kids (11, 9, 9). We just realized they are out of school this coming Monday! This would mean they would only miss 4 days of school instead of 5.

Is it to much to take our trip now and check in tomorrow. We are staying off site in a condo and haven't bought our park tickets so I know the FP+ would be somewhat of an issue but I am wondering if the crowds being lower would make that matter that much. We are also doing park hoppers so that would help.

Opinions please!

The extra day missed won't mean much and the crowds between now and November won't chnage much.

Unless you specifically want to go during Halloween I'd wait and go in November. Like mentioned above, 1 extra day won't matter.

Your kids are in Middle/Elementary school. Taking time off during those grades is a no brainer. Go!!!

Trust me. If your kids are good students, missing a week of school will not impact their grades. Now, if they were in high school, it is a different story because it could be very impacting.

Even without getting your FP made you can accomplish a lot as long as you plan out your park visit wisely. The more popular attractions will always have more waits so target the ones you want most and head to them early.
Lines and waits will always exist, even more so now that the new process is in place.

I think as long as you have considered any fees associated with changing your condo dates or airfare, and are okay with limited fastpass and adr selections there really isn't a difference in the dates, but it is a "lower" time of the year attendance wise..that being said, we just returned last week and seen waits of over an hour for rides such as rockin roller coaster, tower of terror, big thunder, test tracl.. and 45+ for winnie the pooh, little mermaid, kali river rapids, malestorm, sorin..

Why not wait until next week when they are out of school? Or did I misread the statement? Anyway, your kids, your money, go with what feels right to your family. I know a zillion people there right now cause our schools are on fall break for two weeks, could be really crowded!
