Hi all.

I'm gong to Disney World by myself in February. Initially, I was going for 7 nights. However, due to come great AP rates at Pop Century, and cheaper airfare, I've extended this trip to 10 nights!

I've been to Disney about 10 times, and I'm more excited about this trip than any of the others. I think having the freedom to do whatever I want the whole time will make it a blast.

However, does anyone think 11 days might be too much? Anyone ever gone by themself for that long?

Aug 2003 we decided to go to WDW for our 10th wedding aniversary, we had the AP after all and could borrow DVC points so the trip was rather cheap. However it was Aug and in those 10 days we got less done then the normal 7 because of the rain and bad weather.

But you are going in Feb so that shouldn't be a problem for you. It might be a little cool some days, but cool doesn't keep you from doing much other then the pool or water parks, and chances are if you are there for more days you will have more luck for warm weather some of the days.

No ten days isn't too much. If I was there for 10 days again I might go try some of the places I never go to (like IOA US or SW) however with an AP it almost cost you money since going to WDW is already paid for.

Have a great trip. We will be there in Febuary too (25 to March 4th) but can't stay for 10 days, hubby has to get back to work. and we have to save some DVC points since we hope to return in May and go to VB for a few days and stay at different resortr on prop for a few days. (as long as you have an AP right?) :animwink:

It might get a bit loney by yoursef all that time. I would try to hook up with some locals from Magic.

Heading for the great escape.
Two years ago we did 18 days at Disney and four at Universal. It is so much more fun the longer you have. there isnt the same pressure to pack things in. the result is we did all the things we normally do plus loads of stuff like renting water mice, pony trekking at Fort Wilderness, crazy golf, etc etc. If you’ve the cash and more importantly the time its a blast.

We did 15 days two years ago and 13 days last december - it's awsome - you'll love being able to relax every single day without worrying about anybody else - take this time to spoil yourself and do all the things you love!

I agree that you might get a wee bit lonely, but I am sure that if you are open and friendly, you could meet some nice people to share a conversation with.

Just be careful, when I am alone I have a tendency to talk to myself (occasionally outloud) so after 10 days by myself I might seem a little squirrelly to most people.

P.S. I am bringing my mom and dad in Feb. and we are also staying at POFQ (Feb 9-15).

The OP asked about going alone. Why are all the "we" wents for x days answering?
There were two questions, one related to traveling solo and one asking if eleven days was too long.

I was able to answer both, those who could only answer one did so to be helpful

I am neither pendantic or annoyed. It was a question. Name calling was really not necessary, was it?

Question? , read more like an accusation. Im glad to see you are familiar with Scottish regional expressions though, fair play. ;)

Sorry if it read that way. It was early a.m. and I was sleepy.

We both speak English, " pedantic " was not a stretch. :) "Dobber" on the other hand is a fishing lure here. I shudder to think was it is on your side of the "pond". ;)

Hmmm. You may be on to a new word to dub into movies being shown on planes or family TV stations

As in "Well fishing lure me"

I'm going next June and I'm gonna stay there 20 full days (22 days total) and I'm also going alone I really don't care about being alone much since all my life I've done things on my own. But I'm really friendly and I can make a friend after 5 minutes of conversation. My only advice is to be yourself have fun and don't care too much about being alone. Sometimes it's even better that way, you get to do things your way and at your time.

See this board works on so many levels, informative about Disney and other Orlando attractions, and knowledge building from items as varied as language, movies and the private lives of some of worlds most dysfunctional characters, oh and fat blokes with poor taste in shirts.

Go and have a great time! You will have the freedom to do what you want, when you want! When I was down doing my CP, I went to the parks nearly everyday I had off and had a blast! Just go and have fun! You'll wish you would be there longer!
