Does Disney offer horse meat at either the Italian or French pavilions? Its higher protein lower fat content makes it a more health friendly choice for those who do not wish to negate red meat in total.

Im a big fan. we ate it a lot when we lived in Sardinia. Just had a conversation earlier about a "Foody" festival we went to and the specialist meats on offer. Made me think of the F&W.

I could be wrong but I believe horse meat for human consumption is illegal in the USA. I know a ban was just lifted in 2011 that now allows slaughtering horses for meat but to my knowledge no one in the US is producing meat for human consumption and some states and localities have their own laws banning it.

Both bison and venison are certainly an acquired tastes just like squirrel or rabbit! LOL.:D

All 4 things I love to eat and of course have been told I'm a country hick for enjoying them haha. Actually Bison is becoming much more popular here in NYC so it isn't as bad as when I tell people I love deer meat and they just all kind of stare and me and ask if my family was poor or something.

Tell them it's venison...not deer meat. Swoosh...right over their heads:D

As for horse meat, I have never heard it of it served anywhere in the States. I worked at a zoo, in upstate New York, during college and we use to serve it raw to the animals.

Ive had Bison at Artist Point, it was very enjoyable. Not a fan of lamb, the current Mrs Saks favorite meat as a roast.
But I guess that answers the question.

Has Disney ever had Venison? I am from the south so deer meat is always a great red meat option for us and it is particularly lean.

After Le Cellier switched to a signature dining experience at dinner, they briefly had venison on the dinner menu. It's since been removed.

There was actually a de facto ban on horse meat in the US that got lifted last year. It is available in very limited markets but eating horse meat is very taboo in the US. The chances of it becoming common in the US is next to zero.
