Aloha Isle and Sunshine Tree Terrace switching locations late next week

That is so true! the lines are ridiculous and it is amazing how long it takes to serve each guest...they could do a lot better with this....and should. Hopefully in the new location they will address ways to speed up the lines.

I was there in September and having never had a Dole Whip I got in line for one. After waiting 10 to 15 minutes and line hardly moving I gave up and eventually got one at the Poly later in my trip. With the length of the line I actually could have left MK, got one and the Poly and been back faster.

The Epcot Manifesto
I'm wondering if they will do a) signage or b) CM stationed outside or both, to handle the umpteen thousand WDW guests stopping at Aloha Isles, getting in line, getting to the front, and raging when they do not have the pineapple dole whips available.
Unless of course both locations continue to offer that.

I would guess that this is temporary and has to do with the kitchen / building referb in the veranda? In the Tiki room preshow, Claud very clearly references the fact they are in the sunshine pavilion, so if this becomes permanent, which I doubt, it would require for consistency sake that the line is changed. However given Disney as of late, I doubt they'll care about such a lapse. Being optimistic to reiterate, I believe this is kitchen motivated.

These two locations have confused me on and off over the years with their offerings. Just when I thought I finally had it down, they go and mix them up again.
I like the qs at Aloha Isle, something about the one tucked in behind the carpets irks me... maybe it's the lines... or sounds... not sure what. The seating area was always covered in tacky goo, but I don't think that was it.

Hope they can return Aloha Isle to its proper location asap.

Think for yourselfer
Sunshine Tree Terrace is the larger facility. Even if this means the end of the current Aloha Isle facility, it makes sense to have Dole Whips in the current Sunshine Seasons location.

I was told indirectly by a CM (I know, I know) that the Citrus Swirl would be going away, but I also wouldn't be surprised if the Citrus Swirl and/or the Orange Bird become staples of whatever is going on inside the Adventureland Veranda.

Damnit! Citrus Swirl is a much better product.

I guess this is the definitive victory of the Dole Whip over the Citrus Swirl. The move makes sense, the Tree Terrace was designed as the central venue for the land's trademark drink.

Pity though that there are neither trees anymore, nor indeed a terrace.

As for the pineapple replacing citrus - I see this in the larger light of WDW losing its own identity. The citrus was chosen because it was the Florida thing, it gave the MK identity and authenticity. Alas, Disney knows no love for its Florida project. The DL for the throngs is what they turned it into.

Exactly! Plus, Citrus Swirl tastes about 97x better then a ****ing Dole Whip.

being able to take a Dole Whip float into the Tiki room is about the only thing that makes the show watchable..
The show simply needs to be reconfigured into being a selling tool for the Dole Whip (and shortened down to a third of its current length)

There is new orange bird merch coming out sometime this year, I cant imagine them doing away with it all together. But with the track record of MK management, (just look at the mall-ing with the sunglass store) it wouldnt surprise me if they did wipe away any trace of orange bird. Kinda bummed about the location thing, its always been sunshine tree terrace next to the tiki room, (someone correct me if wrong).

They began selling Dole Whip at Sunshine Tree as well late last year. Much shorter line.
