All Walt Disney World Hotels Testing MagicBands Only

I guess so. Disney reps here at the Swan think that as long as the FP machines are still in place I will be able to use them with my park ticket in addition to choosing 3 FP+ at the kiosk.

I'll report tomorrow.

Except DAK where there is no FP. I'm really interested to see what they do for AP holders once FP is done. Technically, getting FP+ the day of is no worse than getting a FP the day of. Other than everyone else got to do theirs 60 days in advance. And you can't change parks. And you can only do 3. And you likely won't get the high demand requests unless late in the day. And you have to do it via CM or kiosk while others can use an App.

I'm at the Swan now and can use FP+ when I get in the park as part of a "test". But no Magic Band and even though I bought my park tickets in advance and connected them to my My Disney Experience account i wasn't able to use FP+ in advance, have to wait until I'm actually in each park and go to the kiosks.

However, apparently this test runs through January 12, according to a flyer I was given. I don't know what will happen after that.

And the good news is I can get the 3 FP+ in the park and also use legacy FP machines. Or at least I think I can do this. We'll see what happens tomorrow.

You can do it, I was at the Dolphin last week and had the ability but I did not partake. I was wondering if they would open up MagicBands and advanced reservations for the S+D.

Disney has said multiple times that AP holders will get access to pre-reserving FP+, though apparently the timetable of adding that functionality keeps getting pushed back.

AP holders w/ resort reservations can take advantage of it now *resort dependent of course until the "full" rollout mentioned at the start of all this. It remains to be seen what they do with us when daytripping or staying offsite. Imagine if it goes the way of things lately it won't be pretty but... (sort of up there with corporate discounts being cheaper than APs and resident discounts..that sort of thing)

No Magic Bands yet but perhaps they will be in use for S&D starting next week, especially if you buy your ticket here on property. I was able to double dip today. I first went to HS and got my 3 FP+ choices linked to my ticket. I was also able to pick up a paper FP at ToT. Then I hopped to EP and got paper FPs there. A CM at HS said that by the "end of the month" their paper FP machines will be gone.

According to a CM who helped me with FP+ this morning, because the Swan and Dolphin are not Disney-owned resorts it may be a long time before they can offer Magic Bands. WhenFP+ is open to all ticketholders, then S&D guests will be able to get sdvance FP+ just like everyone else. I wonder how it will work for S&D guests who use EMH?

I was very happy to be able to double-dip today in the Magic Kingdom. It won't be nearly as enjoyable in the future when I can only use 3 FPs per day and only in one park. I did like being able to schedule my FP. And not have to rush around. It allowed me to take more breaks than usual and be more relaxed.

Us APs are such losers.
