I just don't get paying for cable when there's D2C Sports on ESPN and all the other streamers, and all the Disney stuff ends up on Disney+ the next day.

Unfortunately there’s already been so much consolidation of local news that they’re generally not trustworthy or independent like they were decades ago.

Such a shame. X has literally become the new way to break actual local news these days, but they played a vital role.

If this merger goes through it will just get worse.

X? It’s practically nothing but AI slop fake news these days. I’ve actually subscribed to some legacy publications just to get a sense of reality, which is something I never thought I’d do.

AI slop has truly brought about a renewed appreciation for trusted journalism and it has been the downfall of X as a place to go for breaking news.
