All-Star Movies Or Caribbean?

We are going to Disney in May for 10days group of 8 (3 adults 5 kids) heres the question...we have been given a rate of $750 for the 10 days per room(so $1500 total) for All-Star Movies, but now my sister called Sunday and reserved two rooms at Caribbean using a new code and got us rooms for $1,078.00 TOTAL yep for the two rooms so we each would pay a bit over $500 for the 10 days. I called twice because I thought it was a mistake but it wasn't. But they said they couldn't get us a cheaper rate at the Movies which is where the younger kids really wanted to stay. So which one is better? How are the buses at CB? we have stayed at Movies and Sports so we are familiar with the all star layout. But my husband is worried about some big downside since the rate is so low for prime time...May 25-June 3rd! we wont be spending alot of time in the rooms themselves so room size and views are not important to us. thanks so much.

But are the busses really that bad at CB? our group has five kids ages 2-14 so we will be depending on the busses especially the older two boys coming and going. thanks so much.
ok ..this is only my experience. we started going when our youngest granddaughter was only 6 months and the other was 2 .. there were times we did have to stand on the busses but that happened at the All stars too. there will be times when you have to stand even on the monorail. but I actually thought the busses at the CB were better ..at least the drivers were .. I even had a couple of bad experiences with different drivers at All stars. And once with a bus at Dixielandings ( it will always be Dixie Landings to me, just as it will always be the People mover ) But I think the over all of CB beats out the All stars :)

We've stayed at CB several times and have never had a problem with the busses. Depending on which 'island' you stay at, you may ride more when you get picked up or more when you get dropped off. But the frequency seemed no different than the All-star Movies or Dixie Landings.
The ASM was nice, but a different kind of nice, if you know what I mean. Its Disney World, so it can't be bad. But the rooms are smaller and there seems to be more little kids around (again, that's not a bad thing, just an observation) If you need the extra cash, there's nothing wrong with it. But if you can spare it, CB is beautiful.

I realize you will be getting the rooms for cheaper (a little) at the CB, but again, I would like to say that CB being a moderate resort will have more moderate pricing for food and things. You may end up spending more on other stuff. ASM is a value resort in every sense of the word. Heck, even the refillable mugs at CB cost more! And again, I would like to say that it is all about what kind of atmosphere you prefer and what kind of vacation you want. I personally prefer a kid friendly, (I like 'em running around, as I have a couple of my own that like to be loud and run around and I don't want others to look at them with disdain on their faces just cuz they are being kids), laid back environment. I don't want to have to worry that others are in the hottub and want to relax. My vacations at Disney are all about the kids, the Disney excitement and the parks. My kids cannot wait til we chack in to the Toy Story buildings. Where else will they ever get to see a three story tall Buzz Lightyear?? And swim in a Fantasia pool? On at the All Stars!!!!

PS I'm sure you'll have fun wherever you decide to stay, I just had to plug in my fav!

PPS The All Stars always have more buses. Check the Unofficial Guide to WDW guidebook by Bob Sehlinger. They have timed all the resorts, compared all the bus services, etc. And All Stars wins for frequency and efficiancy every single time, hands down!
